Troop 383
I made a reservation for 40 people for our baseball team and family members to meet for lunch during our Dreams Park tournament. Making the reservation was fast and easy. In fact, our first reservation had to be postponed by a day due to rain delays and Rookie’s contacted me to offer to reschedule because they anticipated that we would need to before I even got the chance to call them. When we arrived, they were immediately ready for us. They allowed each family to have separate checks, which makes group meals a lot easier. Our waitress was clearly prepared and experienced with groups. It was a lot for her to deal with, but she worked very hard and the meal went very smoothly. My grilled chicken wrap was very good. The menu is extremely kid friendly. The arcade is cool. I highly recommend Rookie’s for a big group.

Great for teams and families! Good food, reasonable prices and you can’t beat the arcade. Kids can have fun while adults relax with a drink. Perfectly located in the heart of a baseball town.

Disappointed with Our Experience
We brought a large group of 45 people to Rookies and were extremely disappointed. It was clear from the start that they were not prepared for a party of our size, even though it had been communicated ahead of time. There was only one server assigned to our entire group, which led to slow service, cold food, and a lot of frustration.
We specifically came for the all-you-can-eat taco bar, but were told it wasn’t available because it had to be pre-ordered — something that was never made clear when we booked. That was one of the main reasons we chose this place, so to be told it wasn’t an option was frustrating.
To top it off, the food was overpriced for the quality and the overall experience did not match the expectations.
Would not recommend for large parties or group events. Definitely won’t be back

Convenient location to walk over from Hampton Inn. Prices for kids meals are OUTRAGEOUS. Food was average. My son didn’t like his cheeseburger because the $15 kids meal burger patty was burnt. Beer selection was good.

Maybe they just opened for the season but didn’t have the best experience. Managers all wandering around taking up tables with papers, bags and drinks. Ordered nachos as an appetizer that came with a thimble sized portion of salsa. When I asked for more salsa I was told I would be charged for another appetizer ($12). Burger wasn’t cooked how I ordered and bun was soaked with grease. I would go elsewhere if you are staying in the Dreams Park area.

This is a great spot for any size group or to grab a bite and drink. They’re investing in the experience and it shows. Food and service are great and the arcade is revamped. Great place to bring the kids or the whole baseball teams after a game.

I love these hidden pins where we I go. In defense of the disorganized atmosphere, we stopped in on a random Tuesday in early June at 12:00 pm for lunch. Our waitress, Aurianna, was attentive and delightful. She was slightly less than informed in a few points. Perhaps fault lies on disorganized management. As a “craft house” our lovely waitress was not equipped with an adequate beer menu. Craft beers are complicated and customers rely on a well defined beer menu in order to try something new or find something of their liking. I hope these suggestions don’t go disregarded. I bet this joint gets jumping in full season. Best of luck for future success.

Waitresses seemed very rushed and took a long time to get a menu. My son was delivered a menu and it knocked over his drink and no one helped him or brought a towel. Food took a long time and for the price wasn’t very good. Chicken strips were small and kinda burnt, fries were basic and fish and chips weren’t that great. Drinks sat empty for quite awhile before being filled. I didn’t feel that I got my moneys worth.

Overpriced garbage meant to be a tourist trap for baseball families. You’ll get better food and service next door at McDonald’s for 1/5 the price

We went to Rookie’s earlier this afternoon, after wanting to check it out for a while. It was the Mimosa Flights that got us in the door, where we were immediately greeted by Ashlynn, who also took care of us throughout our visit. Ashlynn was fantastic, taking the time to explain all the different flight options, as well as making sure we knew all the food menu options. Our food was delicious: 2 cheeseburgers, fries, and beef quesadillas. The arcade games were fun. My sister loved playing Skee-Ball and the rubber duck claw game. I especially loved the “Rescue 9-1-1” themed pinball machine – a fun dose of early 90s nostalgia. And, once again, we can’t say enough about what a welcoming, warm, and genuine conversationalist Ashlynn was. Her stellar service added to an already relaxing and fun atmosphere. If you live in or around the Cooperstown, NY area – or are visiting – I highly recommend stopping by Rookie’s!!! We will definitely be back!
