We dont eat out much, but I always make this one of my exceptions. Just went tonight and as always…100%! The food has never been short of amazing! This time we started with the mushrooms (instead of the ravioli) she had Chicken Parmesan and I had Mark’s Special! Not only fantastic but enough for 2 meals! Most places I leave thinking I could make better myself, but not OLIVE PIT! They are perfection, and always such a great staff and atmosphere!

What an incredible dinner! It’s not extremely often a restaurant pulls off an absolute perfect dinner for me and my family. Olive Pit absolutely exceeded my expectations! We dined in on a Saturday evening for dinner. Our party of 4 was seated immediately at a nice quiet corner table. Drink orders were served quickly along with some amazing fresh bread. The kind you slice or brake, share with family or friends, and dip into olive oil and mixed herbs. It was outstanding!

The entrees ordered were chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo, Jason’s Spicy Alfredo Penne, and the star of the show was the Spicy chicken cheese tortellini. This dish was probably the best Italian dish I’ve ever tried. Both spicy dishes have some heat, but just enough to compliment the flavor. Each dish we ordered came with your choice of soup or salad. Portions are generous and worth every penny.

Our server was outstanding as well. She came by to check on us often and took great care of us. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, not loud like other places, and no one rushed us out. We were able to take our time and have a great conversation over dinner.

If you’re traveling through the area or a local resident looking for a great restaurant for a nice dinner or a special occasion, you definitely need to dine here. Now if I can only get that recipe for the spicy mozzarella cream sauce….

This is one of our favorites. The food is always good and great is not unusual! From the bread and spiced oil, salads, brown butter pasta, spicy spaghetti and tirmisu, all is good. One glitch is that you will sometimes enter and wait several minutes before anyone knows you’re there. Once you’re seated all is well from there on out.

My first visit and I was not disappointed! Their Chicken Parmigiana was out of this world! The chicken was perfectly cooked, light crisp, tender, topped with authentic fresh marinara sauce that was also delicious. The pasta on the side was spaghetti and was also perfectly cooked. Fresh bread with a crusty crust and airy center was brought to the table with exquisite olive oil for dipping and was devoured. Our server was friendly and professional. We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and the deliciousness of everything! We will be back!

I reviewed them years ago, before covid they had the BEST pasta in town. I went in with my family tonight, sure they jazzed up the place, but the food was mostly inedible. The Alfredo I once loved was gummy, cold and nasty. Everyone who had Alfredo at the table hated it. All the food was cold. They took it and nuked it but it was still cold, overpriced and disgusting. Paid $122 for 4 meals, 2 appetizers and 4 drinks. I didn’t eat any of my food. Everyone else ate some of theirs but only because they were starved. I told the waitress it was awful she didn’t seem to care so we definitely won’t be back anymore. Food quality and service should come first.

Food and service was good. However, upon entering, was told it would be a 10 minute wait… not bad I thought, and please wait in your vehicle? with signs to please wear .m, seating only 50%. I guess they are still stuck in pandemic mode, unlike most other places.

Lets make the world a better place

A friend recommended this establishment to us so we decided to give it a try on the way thru. We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated and the hostess and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. The menu was adequate and we enjoyed our meal. My wife had the lasagna and I chose the crusted salmon, both were excellent, we often share and we enjoyed the meal. The tables are still spaced out extra because of covid and the interior of the facility was reflective of it’s Italian influence. The service was prompt and professional, we will go again if in the area.

We usually enjoy eating at The Olive Pit.We drive from Huntingdon TN to eat here but tonight the service was not good. The bread was cold seemed like a different texture than usual! Our food was good as always .
