We stopped here for dinner after spending the day in Lovettsville. The restaurant has a cute, relaxing atmosphere, and our waitress was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and responsive throughout the meal.
We started with the Thai dumplings, which were unfortunately very dry and didn’t set the best tone for the rest of the evening.
My husband ordered the Drunken Spaghetti with shrimp, which turned out to be the highlight of the night, flavorful and well-executed.
My son had the wonton soup with rice. It was just okay. The broth tasted like a simple chicken broth and lacked depth.
I ordered the pho, and this was disappointing. The broth had little flavor, and the beef was dry and tasted old. I ended up sending it back.
In its place, I got the tofu Pad Thai. It arrived quickly and was pretty good, not the best I’ve had, but definitely better than the pho.
For dessert, we ordered the Thai banana roti, which was described on the menu as caramelized bananas on warm, crispy roti. What we received, however, was cold with raw banana, not what we expected at all. I sent it back.
Overall, this feels like one of those places where you really need to know what to order. The service and ambiance are great, but the food is hit-or-miss. Some dishes shine (like the Drunken Spaghetti), while others fall flat. With some consistency improvements in the kitchen, this place could be a gem.

Daughter Thai is a wonderful gem nestled in downtown Lovettsville. We cannot get enough of their Yellow curry with various additions, Thai tacos, variety of soups, and really, everything on their menu!! It is a delightful quaint place to dine in and we appreciate that they deliver locally too! Their specials are always top notch and their service is excellent!

Stopped for lunch on a Wednesday after visiting Harper’s Ferry. We had the Drunken Noodles with beef and the Red Curry with chicken, and both with extra vegetables. The food was properly prepared (vegetables al dente and noodles and rice cooked to perfection), flavorful, and medium spiced. Food was not overly salted or overly fatty. While flavorful, the beef was a tad tough. Would definitely go again.

The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the crab wonton appetizer, the beef pad see ew, and the crispy duck with panang curry I got was cooked to perfection.

This is a perfect place for a chill lunch or dinner. It is a mom and pop shop that offers a relaxing atmosphere and great Thai food. The menu offers clear descriptions of ingredients with labels for vegetarian, vegan, and spice. The items are customizable for your dietary preference. The family running the shop are also very kind and hospitable. Would go again!

Lovely place! The food was delicious and the service prompt. It’s a family owned small place, perfect for families and couples looking for an intimate and cozy dinner. Everything, right from soups, to appetizers and the mains were delicious. They have a nice selection of wines and beers as well, although, we didn’t order any for dinner. If you are in the area and craving Asian, this is the place to go.

Best Pad Thai from Los Angeles to D.C. Home cooking. Super clean restaurant. Attentive service. If you visit and there is only one other guest, don’t let that dissuade you. That’s small town. If this sweet place were in the big city it’d be packed 24/7. I love the small town vibe and neighbourly service. Food is fresh and flavourful!
