I honestly debated whether to write this review or keep this place to myself — it’s that good. The food is truly unique and absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality in every bite; everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared.
Andrew completely elevated our experience. His energy, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made the night unforgettable. I don’t think I can ever go back to my previous sushi spot after this.
What really stood out was how accommodating they were — I was able to taste an item before they were added to my dish, which has never happened to me before. That level of care is rare.
The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. I’m so glad I discovered this place. Highly, highly recommend.

Everything was fantastic and top notch. There was one mistake that made our dinner and every dinner out there when your on a special date….
When we ordered, the food came out at separate times. My wife ordered the delicious Bulgogi Hot Plate and I ordered the Chirashi plate.
So my wife got here dish within 5 minutes and my dish took about 20 minutes to prepare.
There is nothing more awkward than having 2 dishes come out separately. Thats the reason for the 4 stars. Not cool.

I was looking for a lunch sushi special spot, came here based on reviews and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Service was great and very attentive. Lunch specials and sushi rolls were tasty, well presented, with good fish quality, and well priced. I love the attention to the small details like having a saucer for your teabag so it doesn’t over steep. The restaurant is clean, modern, with a lot of attention to decor. Would definitely come back.

Great and fresh sushi in Anaheim area. Located in a shopping strip, but don’t let that fool you. Super fresh sushi and friendly staff. FYI, the sushi is 1 pc per order, not 2 like other places. Either way, it was so fresh and delicious, worth it.
Highly recommend if you are in the area and craving good fresh sushi.

What an amazing place! My wife and I stipped for a quick lunch. I learned more about different fish species than anywhere else I’ve been. If you are a sushi fan – then this is a must – ask for the Rubyfish. The tuna and toro was amazing – today from Spain. It varies based on water temperature and season, so the selection of tuna is always rotating. Will definitely be back! Service from April was outstanding!

The 4.8 review score is for real. Taberu Sushi is a very high quality sushi restaurant in a simple strip plaza. Don’t be fooled though. Inside, the restaurant feels higher end and so does the fish. All the fish/sushi we ordered was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. Service was quick and attentive.
Be prepared to spend like it’s a high end sushi place though. You are definitely paying for the quality but in my opinion, well worth it.
If you are planning to go in the evening during the weekend or Friday night, I suggest placing a reservation, as they were turning people away the night we went since it was booked for a good 2-3 hours.

I’ve been lagging on leaving a review and I’m greatly disappointed in MYSELF. I’ve had it countless times already, this place is fantastic and quickly became my favorite sushi spot in Orange.
Upon my first visit I tried their omakase (a key indicator of whether I love the place or not), it did not disappoint. The tenderness and flavors of the fish were too much to capture in mere words. They definitely choose a good selection and I highly recommend the experience to any sushi lover.
The portions are generous and do not sacrifice in flavor. Another great dish I love is their shrimp tempura, they are made with high quality shrimp. I also recommend any of their lunch combos which I frequently order.
