Being from Maine we are a LONG way from home! One of our favorite things to do is fine great places to have a cold one and find good company and we found both at Gene’s. Thank you to everyone there for all the good info on places to eat or not to eat lol. We will definitely be back!

Small local biker bar on Highway 158 headed towards Stokesdale. Great little place to stop, I’ve been there drawing several charity runs. They always have cold beer an excellent mixed drinks. Always a friendly crowd nice place to stop.

A hillbilly hole in the wall that is run by an extremely unprofessional joke of a man. Do not expect to be served by anyone that has all of their teeth or has any knowledge of proper english. There may be signs out front for a bartender needed, don’t expect a call back considering the owner, gene, doesn’t seem to posses the ability to return a phone call. This place is a damn joke.
