Everything was excellent the moment we walked into this establishment. The decor and the ambience is perfect. The food was delicious with so many options. My wife and I have been anxiously awaiting Casa Mateo”s opening. I”m so happy that they waited for everything to be perfect before trying to open. The location is very accessible for the entire Tarpon Springs/Palm Harbor area. Beautiful interior and attention to detail. My food came out hot and delicious and served on a hot plate. Excellent Margarita’s and the beer selection is deep and cold. When the weather permits, there is nice outside seating on one of Lake Tarpon’s canals. This place is perfect for small parties or large events. Their menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I was having dinner when another table was celebrating a birthday. The entire staff came out and had a great celebration table side.
Do yourself a favor and try this amazing new restaurant. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

My girlfriend and I have been waiting for this place to open, and today we finally got to go for the first time.
As soon as you enter you’ll be welcomed by an absolutely crazy yet amazing atmosphere. The colors are vibrant and so is the staff. We had an amazing waiter named Diego, I highly recommend you ask for him. His energy matched the atmosphere.
The inside had very cool attention to detail decorations, from super cool murals to neon lights and decorations outside that made you feel like you’re at a Mexican restaurant.
The attention to detail also spread to their food. I ordered a Bandera Burrito and it looked like the Mexican Flag. To me, that detail shows the pride they take in their food. Eating with your eyes is a real thing and I loved it.
When my food arrived I knew it was fresh just because of the color of the Mexican rice, and I know whoever is reading this will know exactly what I mean. This rice was beautiful and vibrant, other rice at Mexicans restaurant you can tell has no personality and it’s all the same.
The burrito itself was amazing, it’s huge and I couldn’t eat it all. The vegetables were crispy and delicious and the meat was flavorful and tender.
I highly recommend going if you like Mexican food. I will be coming back on a Sunday since they have mariachis!! Thanks again Diego for an amazing experience and food!!

We came here for Valentine’s Day with a very large group (over 20 people at one table) thanks to Yvonne, Anna and other staff, the night was nothing short of amazing. They handled our group with ease, kindness, and so much patience. Every order was right, every drink stayed flowing, they made our NIGHT SOOOOO MUCH FUN. Their hospitality truly made the entire experience, and we can’t thank them enough.

This place is amazing. Everything was so fresh and the place was so bright and cheerful as well as the host and waitress it was truly refreshing. We had a very enjoyable experience. Everything was delicious and such an upgrade to another staple we have in the area. The staff was so friendly. That is not easy to come by for us. We work a lot of after hours calls helping our neighbors when they dont have anyone else to call and they welcomed us and didn’t rush us and made sure even at 11 pm and the only guests in the place that we took our time and we had all that we needed. I could not give them a higher rating. Thank you for coming to our area with such a beautiful dream and location.
