Tugboats is everything you want in a neighborhood spot: friendly people, a welcoming vibe, and amazing food. Jimmy’s pizza is hands down the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh so far and I’m from Philly and have eaten pizza all over, including New York. But you have to get down there early because they sell out of pizza often.
Momma Jackie and the staff treat everyone like family, and they absolutely adore my dog Freya with water, treats, and plenty of love. The deck is the perfect place to sit back with a slice, a drink, and your pup.

In town from TX for a short trip and we were looking for a local gem spot to eat at, and we definitely found it. Great atmosphere, amazing service, and some of the most delicious food we have had. We had a Margarita and the famous fish sandwich without the bun. For the side, we had the green beans. I was expecting a batter heavy, deep fried mess and some canned green beans, and boy, were we surprised. The fish was seasoned and grilled to perfection, and the green beans were fresh made. We both regretted not living in the area and being able to return here again. Hy hat off to the entire wait and chef staff for a great evening.

In the cut bar with great food and great drinks. Jimmy is the cook and trust me once you eat his food you will always return for more. ATM machine present, jukebox, cigarette machine, everything a great bar should have! 5/5!

Business hours are 2p-2a Sunday to Sunday. I service this place for electrical and HVACr needs and know the owners.

Literally one of my favorite places to frequent for comfort food when I come here the staff and owner (Mr. Jerry) makes me feel like I’m at home it’s like having Sunday dinner at my grandparents or my dads house its a laid back bar and they never disappoint from the food to the service I’ll forever be a loyal guest to this establishment a few of my favorite dishes is the chicken picatta the fried fish sandwich and the steak hoagie they definitely have the best fish sandwich in the city in my opinion go check them out it’s a cute little italian bar with a mixed crowd that sits in a very quiet section of chalfont/forest hills area

They got some great fish sandwiches and I feel it’s really price reasonably and comes with fries. A lot of times you’ll find a good fish sandwich at your local bars, like this one .I’m not a bar person that hangs out in one but l will order my food and go. And just for those who is curious. The reason I don’t hang out in the bars is I’m not a drinker. I’m not an alcoholic, it’s just a place I go to get food and be on my way.

The owner Gerry was an absolute delight. Both my wife and I couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was excellent we left completely full, and the price well you can’t beat it. Absolutely coming back to taste the entire menu.

Tugboat’s is one of the best kept secrets in Pittsburgh. The fish sandwich lived up to every bit of the hype. The breading was light and delicious but the portion size was enough for 2 meals. The coleslaw was homemade and reminded me of what my Mom would make for holidays. 5 star all around. It was fun to meet Gerry and his wife and as many have written, Gerry personally stopped to visit and check on our meal.
I look forward to eating at Tugboat’s the next time I am in Pittsburgh and trying additional menu items.
addendum: How could I forget to mention the onion rings? Same light breading and absolutely delicious!!!
