First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, serving a chef-driven menu of elevated classics and seasonal specialties, always made to order using the freshest ingredients. We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. All year long, you can enjoy craveable favorites like Avocado Toast for breakfast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for lunch. Whether you start at the crack of dawn or not, we’ll leave that up to you!

Fantastic first visit! The service was phenomenal and the food was spot-on as you can see in the photos. Their ‘”Traditional Breakfast” was cooked perfectly, and the Belgian waffle was light, fluffy, and delicious. Great atmosphere and an awesome addition to Salem. We’ll definitely be back!

Does Main Street in Salem need more restaurants?? If they’re offering up new choices like First Watch then YES! I’m a southern comfort breakfast guy that always tries out a place’s gravy n biscuits and will totally judge them by this signature dish. Their turkey sausage and gravy was AWESOME! I also now randomly dream of their “million dollar bacon” which is a MUST HAVE when you go! I also tried their lemon ricotta pancakes – yummy! I just can’t wait to go back breakfast is my favorite meal and they have lots of options for me to try next!

I went to the VIP soft opening of First Watch in Salem and it was a wonderful experience. They prided themselves on making sure food and drinks were correct and communicated every step of the way. The waiters and waitresses were all kind and attentive! Everyone was so friendly. The food was immaculate. Not only was the flavor on point but the temperature and presentation was superb. I loved it so much I’m going back for my birthday!

Our experience at First Watch Salem, VA is definitely one to be remembered! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the entire staff was friendly and helpful and really focuses on making guests feel welcomed! Our server Hannah was amazing and very attentive. The food came out very prompt and looked, smelled, and tasted amazing! All staff, managers included, made it a priority to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our time. First Watch, Salem will definitely become our new brunch spot!!

Absolutely fabulous. A great addition to Salem Virgina. Undoubtedly going to be the go to breakfast spot in Salem. Their Project Sunrise coffee is an excellent Columbian coffee. We had the Morning Meditation fresh squeezed juice. We started with the Million Dollar Bacon, sooooooo delicious, the bacon could not have been cooked better. We also had the Million Dollar Potatoes, freshly cooked and topped with a parmesan cream sauce, Million Dollar Bacon bits and fresh herbs. For the entrees we had a Chocolate Chip Pancake, and one of the newest additions to the menu, the Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos (probably the only thing I will ever eat there again) oh so good Barbacoa, scrambled eggs, Cotija cheese, a lime crema drizzle, pico, and freshly sliced avocados. So very good!!! Our server Emma B. was great, and very tentative, and one step ahead of what we needed. Great Job First Watch, we will be regulars and back often.

First Watch is missing the mark! Kitchen staff and management don’t even know the menu, even the server. Food was dry and bland but come to find out it was missing ingredients. Juice bar drinks were made wrong. Coffee refills weren’t prioritized. Spent most time waiting for the server to come back with more drinks and to ask questions. Iron all these things out.
*Edit: Take two…look at how this pancake was allowed to leave your restaurant (to go order). Did someone kill the pancake and perform the Y incision to ensure it wasn’t coming back to life? Is this expected to be superior quality? Why/how did this pass the quality check?
