Townies was more than what we were expecting to say the least. Don’t even look at the reviews as it involves years of past service. This place is a 5.0 and is amazing barbecue and service! We were in town doing some work and said we’d give it a shot cuz we’ve been dying for some great barbecue and this did not disappoint. We sat outside and it was super busy at the bar but we squeezed in and Jen was the bartender and was super friendly and attentive. Then after getting our drinks and sitting there we noticed the chef and a manager came out and I started chatting to the chef asking about the smoked sausage and the barbecue and he was so attentive and truly love the experience talking to us and about his food and the flavors and honestly we sold there…. we proceeded to order the combination barbecue platter with three items and we ordered the brisket, pulled pork and the smoked sausage with jalapeno and cheddar and it comes with one side and we opted for the mac and cheese. Chef delivered it to us himself and couldn’t wait to hear what we thought. And one bite was enough to tell that brisket was amazing…. it was smoked and you can see the wonderful smoke lines and it was peppered and he even put the sauce on the side knowing that we were true barbecue enthusiasts and I didn’t even need the barbecue sauce which might I add he does a homemade Carolina Sauce mustard style and a sweet barbecue sauce.. it’s rare that I don’t need barbecue sauce and let me tell you this brisket some of the best I’ve ever had. I proceeded on to stuff my mouth with that and the mac and cheese that hands down top five I’ve ever had as well. I couldn’t even stop from stuffing it in my fiance’s face as well and he couldn’t believe how good it was. Then try the smoked sausage which was so Juicy and Delicious and flavorful and of course doesn’t need any sauce and then the pulled pork tried it first without the sauce as you can see in the pictures the smoke rings and that slight pink on the edges it was delicious and finally I dipped it in the Carolina Barbecue Sauce that I was dying for and damn I was in heaven. We love Chef Hector and we love this freaking barbecue, we can’t wait till we’re back in the area for more work!!! Next time we’re trying the Boston beef sandwich because that’s where my fiance is from and I told him he could have it next time LOL. Not to mention the Smashburgers look amazing and I heard they were out of this world!! It is also happy hour Monday through Saturday and the drinks are very reasonable priced and so are the beers! There is a happy hour special with footballs only on Sundays that does include some food.

We like going to Townies Tavern to listen to bands The outdoor atmosphere is great! We always have good service when we go to Townies. Our most recent trip we had Nikki for our server, she was excellent!!! I love me some good BBQ. The flavor of the BBQ here is good! Unfortunately I was disappointed for the fourth (4th) time when ordering the build your own BBQ. I aways order the brisket, pulled Pork and ribs with fries. Everything except the fries are always cold. The last 3rd time I ordered a few months ago, I spoke with the manger that this was the 3rd time I ordered the BYOBBQ and the meats are always not hot. He said he liked the feed back and would make sure that it would not happen again. Well sure enough last night for the 4th time I ordered the BYOBBQ and still not hot. It would be nice to go to Townies and enjoy some hot BBQ. I am not sure what there hold process for keeping the BBQ warm, but it is not working.
PLEASE ADRESS THIS ISSUE. I have spoken to other people about the BYOBBQ and they all say the same that the BBQ is not hot. Luke warm at best.

I had the Townies smash burger (amazing), and my girlfriend had the Birria smash burger (amazing)! We came here because of Baldy Eats, and we were not disappointed! Chef Hector came to the table, and we passed along our compliments. Leah was our server, and she was excellent! Don’t leave without trying the peach cobbler! OMG!!! 10/10 I’ll be back… maybe tonight for dinner!

Our waitress was amazing. We had a work luncheon. There were 15 of us. She waited on us by herself. She kept up with serving us. The food came out hot and all together. I had the Townies mac and cheese. It was a great experience. Highly recommend.

We were a large group and reserved ahead and they took excellent care of us. Everyone had a great time and we dined outdoors. When we arrived the smoked brisket was still on the smoker and was not available and that is what most of us wanted. We substituted pulled pork, sausage, and ribs with Cole slaw, fries, and Texas toast.Someone had the nachos and the tater tots were excellent. We had drinks as well so the group spend more of course. Pricing is spot on. It was all great. I would definitely recommend going and we will be back!

I have to start with a BIG THANK YOU to Taylor, Debbie and the staff at Townies for accommodating our group… from my call on Friday to 2 hours prior to our arrival, I was calm because they were so easy going to talk and calmly saying “we will take care” what a relief when you are traveling with a group that went from 35 to 46!
Food was fantastic, everyone enjoyed their drinks, atmosphere and the great food!
Service was fast and we all ate together… I am so glad we choose to come here, we will for sure be back!

In from out of town, had dinner here tonight. Sat outside, it was a beautiful evening. The atmosphere was great! Good was top notch— I got the Birria tacos, definitely would recommend. Waitress was super sweet. Will definitely return next visit.

First time here around 3pm on a Tuesday before Christmas. Tiffany was tending bar outside. She was amazing. And very nice to look at I might say… her shift changed and she closed out around 4pm. Her replacement was a bearded male and not very attentive. 14 people at the bar and you would think it was four deep. It took me 10 mins to get my second glass of wine. Check please. Long story short, management should have him on day shift and Tiffany for evening shift. I would have dropped $75 instead of $15.
In all fairness, I did not eat but I heard the food was good. I will come back again hoping to have Tiffany wait on me.

Had a great lunch here with friends the other day. I had the smoked turkey club and it was very good. Everyone else had the smash burgers. Our server was fun and very good. We will be back.
