I placed an order through DoorDash and was very disappointed with the quality of the food and the customer service. The protein was undercooked, and the egusi had an extremely watery texture and consistency. I wish I could attach a video to show the condition of the food. The pounded yam was also cold upon arrival.
Additionally, the restaurant advertises eba on DoorDash. Before ordering, I called the restaurant to confirm availability and was told they did not have eba, which was misleading. When I called back to request a resolution, the staff member who answered appeared confused. After I stated that I would leave a review, the call was immediately disconnected.
Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory experience in both food quality and customer service.

Good is okay. The soup that I got was salty. I say too salty. It’s my second time coming here but it was just too salty. Also the meat smelled a little. It was dark and it felt that they didn’t clean it well enough. I am not planning to come back to this place. Of course everyone’s experience is different but definitely not planning to come to this place.

I don’t know about anyone eslse.. but this food and the ppl were sooo great! Can’t ever use the words “tasteless” or no “flavor”. Granted everyone may not be as adventurous with their taste buds, but this was My first time having West African food outside of what my husband and his family serves. It was sooooooo good! It had color flavor and ample servings. The Joloff rice was … I had that with chicken and the baked lamb. If you are in Newark, NJ and looking for a belly full with quick service stop on in. You won’t regret it!

I recently ordered attieke with fried tilapia from this restaurant, and unfortunately, it did not go well. The food did not seem fresh, and I ended up suffering from a severe stomach virus that caused food poisoning. Given my experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Please exercise caution when ordering from them, as the quality and safety of their food are concerns.

Yesterday (02/29/2024) my friend bought plantain for me and I do not know if it is because he is a man, but this what they gave him! All burnt out, tasless because these plantain have been sitting there for hours probably from other people not buying them and I do not sure why instead of trashing them, they keep selling them to people like my friends who do not know it better smh ♀️! What a disgrace and shame from our people!!

I enjoyed my food here. I ordered the pounded yam & egusi soup (melon seeds) with stewed chicken. The soup was flavorful and the chicken was delicious! My mom ordered jollof rice and stewed chicken as well as the chicken gizzards which was also good. The Jollof was a bit spicy and the gizzards tasted like they were cooked in Jamaican curry (so good). The lady that served the food was very patient with us. I did a full Tik Tok video: Safiya Lin . If you are interested in go check it out! I’d definitely be back.
