I liked this place under the former ownership, and REALLY like it now. The food is excellent, prices are reasonable, the staff and owners could not be more welcoming. This is the Akron version of “Cheers”. It’s very easy to become a regular because of the atmosphere and people who come here. Yvonne is creative in her recipes AND her bartending abilities, Jen is the best bartender you could ask for. There is often live music and events almost every night. Dart night, wing night, meatloaf, weekend specials with soup and salad buffet.

Best Fish Fry in WNY. Perfectly crisp beer batter encasing sweet, moist, and flaky fish. The sides are all good, especially the German Potato Salad. There are several choices of sides and you pick three.

We’ve stopped here a few times for food recently and their menu options are incredible. During dinner hours they have a salad buffet that’s great but we typically stop later in the evening and miss the salad buffet. The owner is also the cook and prides herself on homemade cooking. This is definitely a hidden gem

So I feel really bad giving bad reviews, but this was not a great experience. Apparently there are new owners, so I’m not sure if they are trying to figure things out still, but I would not recommend this place for dinner.
1.) the menu is bare bones, there were quite a few things on the menu that were crossed off. We ate at 5:30 pm and when asked for the prime rib, we were told it was just put in the oven and would be 45 min.
2.) I chose the chicken finger sub, thinking it would be a safe option. It was the worst chicken finger sub I’ve ever had. It wasn’t even chicken fingers, it was like flattened chicken patties? And I chose bbq sauce…the worst bbq I’ve had. And the cheese? Tasted artificial and it wasn’t even melted.
3.) my husband had the open face prime rib sandwich and there were more mushrooms than meat.
4.) overall the food seemed like it was all frozen food, that was then fried, or cooked up. Not great.
5.) the waitress was nice, but only one waitress for the evening so she kind of got swamped.
6.) the sides were bad too. The vegetable was broccoli with possibly melted velveeta cheese. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mash with a lot of butter. The sweet potatoes tasted just like the frozen bag we get from Walmart, with honey drizzled on them.

We got fish fry’s to go and they were amazing. The flavor of the fish and its batter was so good that I didn’t bother with the tarter sauce. The slaw s good and the macaroni salad could have been my wife’s it was that good. The French fries were worth the price all on their own. A meal worth every penny. Thanks Lee

Great selection of of all your favorite foods. Tasty fish dinner either fried or baked with 3 sides. We also had shrimp cocktail consisting of 5 large shrimp to dip into a tangy sauce. All portions are very adequate for man-size appetites. Desserts are homemade, too. Can’t beat the friendly, efficient service. Check it out soon..you won’t be disappointed.

Hidden jem in the middle of nowhere
…won’t find it unless your Looking for it !
Everything I’ve had on the menu is great
Beat of the best is the fish fry or better yet the fisherman’s platter ! None better anywhere it’s not at all fancy and it can be a little cramped when it’s busy but it’s worth it. The staff is top notch everyone is very friendly. It’s one of the warmest friendly places I’ve ever dined at. Prices are terrific too. I will go out of my way to stop in for dinner or just some bar food & drinks anytime I’m in the area !
