My partner and I passed by this place and were craving Chinese food. I’m so glad we tried it because the food was super flavorful and the portion sizes were very big. We both loved how much protein and vegetables came with each dish! We ordered the Combo Fried Rice, Salt and Pepper Pork, and Hunan Chicken. We couldn’t decide which one was our favorite dish because they were so good. The Huanan chicken has a small hint of spice with tons of sauce. The salt and pepper pork was crunchy on the outside yet juicy on the inside. The service was super sweet and very attentive. Overall a 11/10 experience! We will definitely be back to this restaurant again!

I chose to have food delivered from this restaurant because I love Chinese food and the food here was super duper delicious. The orange chicken was perfectly cooked and the fried rice really hit the spot for me. I unfortunately couldn’t finish my food because I was bursting at the seams eating this food. I highly recommend this place. 5 stars all around

I’ve lived in SF for 10 years and this is now my favorite Chinese restaurant in the entire city. Very authentic. Will be coming back many more times. The basil beef and orange chicken were so well cooked and the quality of ingredients is very apparent. So Delicious!! The service and owners are so sweet too.

I keep coming back because it’s so dam good. Truly a gem in the city feels like you’re eating at home. The food is always fresh and the service is wonderful truly feels like home. I’ve had the Seseme Chicken over steam rice and the sweet n sour chicken over steamed rice as well as the the spring rolls and seseme balls. Both meals smacked 10/10.

We enjoy eating at family business while on vacation. What a hidden gem. It’s worth the drive and you won’t be disappointed. Family members run this with passion. Food was excellent and rich in flavor. Highly recommend.

After a long visit to the UCSF Medical Center to see our mother, we decided to stop by the May Lee Restaurant for a quick early dinner before heading back to Sacramento. We were immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman who welcomed us to the restaurant.

The restaurant itself is a cute little old-school Frisco diner. The dining area is quite small, but it looks like they’re more geared towards take out and DoorDash orders. The menu had a lot of options, so it was hard for us to decide what to order. There is Definitely something for Everyone!

My sister ended up getting one of the combo plates with Walnut shrimp, my niece got the Curry Chicken and I got the Ginger Beef. My ginger beef was not too heavy with the sauce, which I really liked and the beef was Super tender! All the veggies were very fresh and not over cooked at all. We also decided to get the Har Gau Shrimp appetizer. Everything was cooked to perfection and the shrimp was especially delicious. To top it off, they also give you free veggie egg rolls over a $35 order! Ours were crisp and tasty ☺️

BONUS!!! They have FAUX Beef and Chicken sections on the menu!!! And quite a few Yummy looking selections!!! ATTENTION ALL VEGGIES!!!

Overall, our experience at May Lee Restaurant was great. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and affordable meal in the area.

An unprepossesing small place on 7th street which is easy to miss. I just happened upon this place on yelp quite by accident and other customers were quite satisfied. I was there with my partner and her cantonese mom and auntie. They were all delighted with the food as was I. The portions are generous and well prepared. Would return.
The outside sign could be spruced up to appear more inviting.

I’ve came here a few times for the lunch special and I decided to dine in this one time for some reason I feel like my bill is more reasonable with the same exact order taking out vs dining in. I would order again but only doing take out because what normally cost me 24 somehow costing me 36 so it makes no sense.

We came for Christmas dinner with high hopes and walked away extremely disillusioned. This place charged premium prices for what was basically oily onions and filler food. Our Mongolian beef came with barely any beef at all (2-4 pieces) just a few tiny pieces buried in grease that tasted off (a tray of onions though was served). The noodles were bland, flavorless, and soaked in old oil. The dishes felt like leftovers thrown together rather than real, fresh cooking.

The palm-sized portions were small for the $73 we spent, which made it feel even more like a scam.

Honestly, the egg rolls were the only decent thing, probably because they seemed frozen and not made here.

Everything else was disappointing from the first bite.

We won’t be returning and suggest you don’t either if you care about what you put into your body and care about what you spend also.
