Me and my lady come here from Milwaukee 50min drive every other day the food is phenomenal with very good portions… I got like 3 ppl from Milwaukee who now takes this drive frequently we have a good place here called uppa yard but it’s just two different hi end tastes so we eat here or travel there a whole lot…plus they have a bar that’s attached so you can have a drink while you wait… Very friendly environment both

I am a foodie and of West Indian descent. I love supporting local so I will give my pro’s and con’s.
Pro’s =The Curry Shrimp, rice n peas and beef patties are very good. The food is always hot and fresh. The older lady is so nice and friendly and provides good customer service.
Con’s=The young girl at the front desk needs to smile and brush up on her customer service. Customer service could make or break a business. Last 2 times I had to come back because my patties weren’t in the bag and no apology then I got them home and the bottom of my beef patty was burnt(see below).
With a few minor tweeks they can succeed.

Im very disappointed I spent 34.00 on food that was burnt My chicken was dried out and my rice and peas had 3 peas My fried plaintains werent done. I also ordered brown stew chicken Not good.I called 5 times to speak with someone no answer I live too far away for this

Walk in to order you food then wait in your car its worth it I got 2 1/2 chicken plates one with rice n peas n mac n cheese another with cabbage my bf didnt care to much for the cabbage but everything else was good the mac and cheese was all our fave

Picked up our Friday night dinner, last week. The food was exceptional and perhaps some of the most authentic Jerk Chicken that we’ve had to date. I drove 45 minutes to get to this restaurant and the order was delayed a little but when the hostess found out about the trek I made to get the food, her brother (CHEF) in the back threw in a couple of extra sides at no cost. The food was just incredible.

I like the jerk chicken, mac & cheese, rice & peas, & the cabbage. I also like the sweet potato pie. What I dont like is the small amount of food that they distribute out for the price that we customers pay! They need to add a bit more food to your to go box! I stopped coming here as much because of this reason. There are other places in the area that provide more food good food, & for the same price people!

We traveled from Chicago and it was one of the best Jamaican food I’ve had in a long time. I ordered quarter of jerk chicken and they made me curry chicken. I didn’t even know that they have curry tho.. I am not even mad at them bc when I opened my box there was both of the foods in it and they were absolutely amazing. It was delicious and tender. Highly recommend!!

This place is amazing!!!! My boyfriend and I ordered a bunch of different stuff and everything was fantastic! The jerk sauce is so flavorful. We got the oxtail and chicken combo with Mac and cheese and fried plantains, loaded fries with steak, and the jerk shrimp alfredo. We are hooked and we’re going to tell everyone we know about Jerk N’ More!

I don’t put this lightly, but my first time trying this place: that was best chicken I’ve ever had. I get the 1/4lb Chicken Plate, mixing up the sides. Yams are good, plantains are good (although I like them overripe and these taste like they still have some yellow lol), rice and beans are good, mac n cheese is good. And of course the sauce is fire.
Not sure how long they’ve been around, but I only discovered this place after a few years of working downtown. It’s easy to miss since it’s a small spot on Genesee with indiscreet signage. Truly the best kept secret though. I’ve eaten at every restaurant in Waukegan at this point — Jerk N More easily makes my top 5.
You can expect like 30m to get your food most times, and sometimes it’s hard to reach them, but honestly? That’s part of the experience.
