Wanted a quick lunch. We were seated right away and greeted by the server who was very helpful and suggested menu items. Both of our entrees came out fairly quickly and were acceptable. The burger was a Bubba frozen patty and nothing to brag about. Fries were good. The booths and surroundings are nice but as someone with compromised lungs the 30+ years of cigarette smoke that permeate everything was a lot by the end of the meal.

This is a relatively new restaurant within the Fandango Casino in Carson City, Nevada. My wife and I stopped in and had lunch. Food was very good, just the right amount. Price was great. Service was outstanding. Despite being inside a casino, it was relatively quiet and easy to hold a conversation.

We were hungry at lunch time and the grill was the best choice despite its 3.5 rating. We decided to give it a chance after we liked the menu. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. Food was nice and tasty, service very fast, and the prices very modest. Beef stroganoff was especially good and the portion quite immense – I helped my wife finish it. A glass of wine was only $5.
My recommendation for management is to extend beverages by offering draft beer and cocktails if possible. Lunch for two with wine and added salad for main dish was $40 including 20% tips

I love that they finally updated the place. Unfortunately the food could use some more work. we got lunch here and I ordered the spicy crispy chicken burger. What little sauce they put on it tasted like miracle whip with black pepper.

OK, the new Governor’s Grill is open and the old Palm Ct. Grill is no more. The lighting totally sucks, it’s lit like a cafeteria or discount dept. store, not like a restaurant.
I was told the onion soup was wonderful by a friend, so we go here and order that. What the heck is this? For $6.00 bucks you get a smallish bowl of soup and not even filled to the top. Then on top of that , there no onions in the soup! The cook just sloshed a ladle in and that was it. Dig down to the bottom where all the onions are! The cheese was OK, but that was about it. Even my friend that recommended it said it was well below par …. he gave it a C- grade.
Consistency is not something they do here at all. Skip this place and just go to Bodine’s down the street. The prices are actually way better. Service was fine though.

The best thing about the Palm Court Grill is the’re open 24 hours. It’s clean, and bright. However I believe they could improve the quality of their food. My wife ordered the fisherman’s platter and it tasted like it was prepackaged frozen food. I had the coconut shrimp and my shrimp was pretty good compared to the hard dry shrimp my wife was served on the platter. I’ve had their clam chowder and it was good, I’d go back for some of that. But when your wife isn’t happy it’s going to be hard to get her to eat there again.

I’m not a local, but I’ve been coming here for years when visiting family. They have a varied menu and even as an annoyingly picky eater, I’m always able to find something appealing. I’ve never been disappointed with any meal I’ve chosen. The portions are very generous and the staff is always attentive, personable and efficient. I like the new updated look as well. It’s brighter and more welcoming.

Went here with a large party and everyone got something different. Out of all of us not one person had a complaint, which says a lot about food quality and service. Will 100% eat here again if I’m in the area.
