Highly recommend this place.
The anticuchos was perfectly seasoned and cooked.
Some of the best Chaufa outside of Peru!
We tried the ceviche, which was fresh, tangy, and full of flavor, the lomo saltado, which was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the plantains, which were sweet and cooked just right.
Each dish was beautifully presented (the ceviche especially stood out with its bright colors), and the flavors were balanced and satisfying. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and homemade.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being rushed. It’s definitely a gem for authentic Peruvian cuisine. We’ll absolutely be back to try more dishes. Definitely check them out!
The wontons were light and crispy and not too heavy.
The ceviche selection offers by far the widest selection and the portions are large without sacrificing all the details and great taste.
It was our first time there and it won’t be the last.
In my opinion, MPR serves very well the Northern Virginia area with excellent peruvian food, service, and atmosphere.
Highly recommended and “hands down”, one of the best! and very much worth visiting.
Food was hit or miss. The lomo saltado wasn’t one of the best I’ve had and felt a bit underwhelming. On the other hand, the sopa de marisco was very flavorful and definitely a standout. The Machu Picchu ceviche was also fresh and well prepared.
I wouldn’t recommend the maracuyá juice — it tastes like a extra sugar version. The pisco and mojito were also disappointing and overpriced.
Overall, a nice spot for the ambiance and a few solid dishes, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the drinks and lomo saltado.
