Genuinely the best smash burger I’ve ever had, barbecue cheese fries are different in the best way possible, classic Diner sweet tea, not a negative thing to say about this place. Service was awesome and regular, 4 tvs as well, I will 100% be back

Omgoodness, the food is so good! We stopped in on Sunday June 8 on our way home from watching the Savannah Bananas in Charlotte. My husband had the brisket , I had the barbecue , and my Mama had the half chicken . Everything was cooked to perfection. I must say it’s better than LRB! Keep doing what you’re doing, because you’re doing it right!

Summer Time
This place has really good food. We sat at the bar and had some of the best smoked barbarque we have ever had with a couple of cold beers. The service was great and so polite. We will be back and try the milkshakes next.

After visiting a few wineries in Yadkin Valley, we needed some dinner before hitting the road home. On a Saturday evening during prime time dinner hours (with no reservations), our group of 7 was having a hard time finding a place to accommodate us. We called Royall’s and were told there would only be a 20 minute wait for our group. Sold!
When we got there, Alex (the owner) greeted us with a jolly smile. Were were all able to wait at the bar for the table to become available. While scanning the menu, Alex passionately explained some of the restaurant offerings. We could tell by his excitement, the food would be delicious.
The group agreed! The burgers were amazing as we all raved over the beef and brisket blended smashed patties. We also enjoyed the brisket and pork. To top it all of, I don’t know whos grandma was whipping up that homemade banana pudding but whew, AMAZING.
We will definitely be back the next time we visit Elkin. Thanks Alex and your staff for a memorable food experience!

Finally got around to Royal’s, and even delicious isn’t a good enough word to describe the 1/2 chicken. It was full of flavor and incredibly moist. Came with 2 sides and choice of bread…big enough meal to split between 3 people! We added on a small side salad. Feed us all for $20.

Service is great food not so much. We have eaten there twice and won’t go for a 3rd. Hot dogs are ok. The sweet potato tots over cooked. My husband got the smash burger nothing spectacular he said. My daughter got the half chicken the rub on it was grain. She also got the Mac and cheese it looked like it had been around about a week and tasted worse. It was dry and burnt.

This was my first time at Royall’s since it opened. I was so used to my nostalgic Royall’s of yesteryear that I was curious about the new place and I admit… Royall’s BBQ & Grill you are not just on the map. You are my new favorite. We started out with the gouda macaroni bites for an appetizer. Crispy on the outside and soft gouda macaroni on the inside. Delicious with ranch dressing but I am not sure ranch is even necessary as they were so good without. For my entree I had the smoked pork sandwich and sweet potato tots for the side. Also delicious! Probably the best bbq I have had in a while. Those sweet potato tots were the perfect side for that sandwich in my opinion. The atmosphere was still nostalgic and simplistic but fresh and new. I will definitly be coming back. ❤️

The food was delicious, the atmosphere, fun, and the servers pleasant and attentive, once they were able to attend to us. Unfortunately, they were short-handed and we had to wait too long for service, and for the food. Regime change in Iraq once the food fries, it was delightful and plentiful. We’re in church. I would definitely come down but unless one has unlimited time, I recommend coming before 12:00 noon, or after 1:00.
