If you are looking for traditional Jamaican food this is it.
Food-
We’ve tried the escovitch snapper, jerk chicken, Rasta pasta, and the oxtails. We’ve patronized enough to be able to write a review about the food. Simply delicious! Fresh! Full portions. Large portions to have enough left over for lunch the next day. I really enjoy that my food tastes and looks fresh! And the pricing is decent— very affordable! I’m used to going to some other Caribbean restaurants and hearing “we’re out of oxtails” or “we’re out of snapper.” Not once have I come to D&L and heard those words. I appreciate that whatever I order is always in stock.
Service-
The husband and wife team are superb. Great attitudes and they remember me. They care. My husband is a little picky and likes the peppers and onions for his fish on the side. They never give me a hassle about it and are always willing to accommodate.
Atmosphere-
The level of detail and service makes the atmosphere feel like home. This is not a chain big box store. It’s a small establishment with BIG love! The dining area is intimate and on theme with the Jamaican colors.
Now, let’s talk food…I’ve had the oxtail, curry shrimp, and escovitvh. However, my most favorite dish is the Rasta Pasta (the best I’ve had in the area)
I say all this to say, please if you’re in the area stop by D&L Caribbean Cuisine. Parking can be a little rough at times, but it’s worth it!
