Don’t let the location fool you! Staff is very kind, and the food is excellent. You know how in Ratatouille they know the bread is good by the sound it makes? This locations bread makes that noise, and you taste the freshness. I tried (and got the next day) the Turkey & pesto. We both tried the Vietnamese coffee. And we proceeded to get the same the next day. My husband tried the teriyaki beef and another sandwich I forgot the name. I had the same sandwich both days, it’s that good. The banana peppers take it to the next level! If you love a simple, fresh, delicious sandwich you need to give this place a try! Let them know I sent you! The area does have plenty of parking, watch for those speed bumps! It’s a little hidden, familiarize yourself with the directions and drive safe! Close to CalState San Bern!

Ordered Pho and Sandwich. Pho broth was tasty. Very little amount of toppings, sauce and meat. Sandwich was good but very very little meat and veg. Tried to overcharge and hospitality was not there.

My first time ordering there. I feel under the weather and I order the Pho Special.. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant,when I got there they had quite a few people so that means something…that is a good place!!! The soup hit the spot.. was very good and tasty. Good food, friendly staff and for the price was not bad at all.

I wish I had thought to take more pictures because believe me the poorly lit photos in my kitchen do not do this justice! Absolutely delicious bahn mi,egg rolls, and pot stickers! The wife tried the iced coffee as well and said it was amazing! We stopped here after reading the excellent reviews and they weren’t wrong. We usually get bahn mi at a chain that’s mostly in Orange county (Lee’s if you’re curious), but it’s a long drive so we only go there if we’re in the area as the locations that are closer to us in the IE are not as good. I am so excited that we found somewhere just as good, if not better, that’s so close to home!! The pictures are the express special (may be off on the name, buts it’s the #1 sandwich on the menu). It’s the one with pate, so not everyone’s favorite, but if you like it this sandwich is phenomenal!! Perfect amount of toppings, everything is super fresh, and the bread is perfection! Plus, Jackie, the owner, is so darn nice! We will be back many times and I am so excited we decided to Google this restaurant and saw how much everyone loves it!

The flavor and texture of the Banh Mi Dac Biet was good, but in relation to the price is absolutely ridiculous. I paid $28.20 (including tax and suggested tip) for 2 Banh Mi Dac Biet that didn’t fill me up because the sandwiches were barely filled. Today I went to Hiep Thanh and for $23.50 (tax and no suggested tip) I got 2 Banh Mi Dac Biet that were packed with meat and veggies, 2Pc Pork Belly, 1PC Banh Quoy, 3PC Shrimp Summer Roll and a Pandan Dessert. 1 Banh Mi Dac Biet here is almost $12, at Hiep Thanh it’s $4.50, that’s 2.7x more. The difference in bang for your buck is astronomical. I know this place is convenient for CSUSB, but I do not recommend going here. Drive the extra 15 mins to Little Saigon to get your moneys worth.

Wow, I’ve been to a lot of places to eat Bahn Mi and I have to say, this place is the best! The freshly baked bread is out of this world. It tastes fresh and is super soft! I got the regular chicken and my husband the teriyaki chicken. The thai tea with boba was great, not watered down like most places, and the boba was soft, not hard. The ladies there, Jackie and Lin, are super happy people and very kind, and they make their food with a lot of love! I will definitely be coming back next time!

We are visiting family and my brother in law suggested we try his favorite bahn mi. We were thrilled with the fresh baguettes, baked right there, and all the fresh ingredients prepared in house with great care. I can’t wait to sample some of the other varieties of sandwiches they offer! I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and my husband had Thai iced tea, both were very flavorful and refreshing. We were greeted warmly and both Lynn and Jackie made sure we were happy with our food! I can highly recommend this wonderful cafe!

The dumplings were ok but good with the sauce … the pho was whatevers….. they are stingy with the siracha gave me 1 thing u used to put ketchup in if that makes sense small cup thing u find at burger King for ketchup …… nobody handling customers either …. not good enough to come back to for me … spent 25 those 2 items and 2 can cokes… also seemed like they were tripping on the tip a little how do I know the feeling I got as I was paying

This is our go to place. We moved from San Diego and our Pho spot, we quickly found our new home. It’s hard to find this type of food done right. It takes time and knowledge of how to make it properly and they nail it every time. We have tried other places but none match up. If your looking for authentic cuisine, do yourself a favor and head here, you won’t regret it.
