Very good thai food. Loved the PadKeeMao and the TomKha. The brisket in the yellow curry was amazing.
The medium spicy was not very spicy. I’m curious to see if their spicy is actually Thai spicy.
The portions are a bit small though. We got 3 “entrees” and didn’t have any left overs. The prices are not bad, but a bit expensive when the portion sized is taken into account.
The cocktails were great.
The one thing we didn’t enjoy was how cold it was inside. We both had to keep our jackets on. I’ve lived in very cold climates, I’m not that sensitive, but it was cold inside.

Visited Yui about 2y back – it was a modest place with solid, authentic Thai food.

Delighted to be back and the new venue looks great! Modern industrial vibes with boho lamps… and the food – still as amazing as ever. And with an expanded menu!

The tapioca balls are a solid – coloured with what might be bluepea flower, with a chewy sago / tapioca outside and a filling of sweet preserved radish and nuts. Great blend of textures!

The chicken wings are amazing – I love korean fried chicken tho these are seriously better! Crunchy yet juicy wings. And I appreciated the use of fresh – not frozen – chicken.

The stir fried rice noodles were amazing. The smell of the wok / wok hei and herbs are in every single bite. The rice noodles are fresh – not the dried rehydrated ones – and chewy. Yums.

We ordered the salad with pork rind – beautifully balanced and perfect with rice crackers and greens. I would have ordered glutinous rice too, tho my tummy didnt have space.

Will definitely be back… Yui offers true Thai flavours and hospitality. A hidden gem!

I recently tried Thai food at YUI and I was extremely impressed. I ordered the Wagyu basil stir-fry, Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao, and fried pork ribs with garlic. Every dish was absolutely amazing.

The Wagyu basil stir-fry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and paired beautifully with authentic Thai basil and spices. The Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao tasted incredibly authentic and reminded me of traditional Thai flavors that are very hard to find outside Thailand. The fried garlic pork ribs were crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor.

Honestly, I have never had Thai food this delicious before. The flavors felt very authentic and rare to find. If you are looking for real Thai cuisine, I highly recommend YUI.

so cool to see YUI transition from their original location off killingsworth…they were fabulous thai innovative food then…

with their new location on belmont, they’ve taken the food to a whole new level…true flavors, punchy, clean thai flavors come thru, melded and integrated and poignant.

some asian places recently, and you’ve seen it in my reviews, are trying to hard. you can see it in their menu construction and mix (fusion), and in the too fad’ish use of ingredients. YUI keeps its identify with their celebration of flavors.

the tapioca dumplings are chewy; the filling come thru with substance but does not dominate the light fun texture of the tapioca. the chicken wings are messy with fish sauce and salty/sweet, juicy meaty, crunchy. you decide now that since i have my fingers in it, can i get a second one, and reach for a beer.

the ground pork salad (not the larb) is so worth it.

the basil wide noodles are full of basil flavors and wok-hey smokiness.

like YUI, another thai place of great fanfare also opened up a month ago (feb 2026); we ate at that place last night. i’d rank the clean execution of YUI over that place.

high recommendation.

Was super excited to come here given all of the fantastic reviews. Unfortunately I think it’s still a little early in their journey to give it a try. I think they need some time to mature.

I’ll start with the atmosphere which I do think is great. It’s charming and pleasant inside with a warm atmosphere and great amount of light. It’s in a fun area and a good place for small-mid size groups.

The service unfortunately was quite disappointing. We came in on a Sunday around lunch, and there was only one person to service the entire room. I get they’re doing what they can but it just wasn’t up to par for the prices. Every one of our (4) dishes came out at a different time which left people awkwardly wondering if they should eat or wait for the next dish. Our 2nd order of wings was forgotten and by the end of the meal there was no urgency in clearing the table despite the fact we were the only table still there. Generally just disappointing.

Food wise I think the food was solid but not standout. The wings were tasty. The phad Thai while flavorful had super bland chicken. The khao so we got had tons of fatty beef that was inedible. Just wasn’t our favorite.

I would consider giving them another try when they start to figure out the service but for now I would wait until they dial it in more.

Atmo: 9/10 – clean & new but music was chaotic

The shu mai were incredible (best I’ve had).
The sakoo were such a highlight, being similar to a sweet & savory mochi. We loved them.

The Boat noodle soup waa amazing! The vibrant broth was a perfect comfort food, almost like consume from a smoked meat. The super thin noodles held the broth so well. The brisket was cooked perfectly.

The Khao Soi was the best I’ve had (and I’ve had a lot of variations) and was so rich and creamy sweet. The brisket was a wonderful addition here, as well.

The roti was hot and buttery. I wanted so much to order another round to clean the bowls

The coconut custard was a surprising mochi-like dessert that was a perfect finish.

The service was as attentive, fun, and personable as you could possibly ask for. I felt /welcomed/ as though a regular.

The only upgrade I could ask for would be Thai music or something chill. The Beegees and other stuff playing took it down a notch and made it hard to hear or talk.

I absolutely LOVED this meal and experience and would highly recommend it as a must-try Portland restaurant. Make reservations.

I’ve tried Thai food at many different restaurants in Oregon, but this place truly stands out. Out of all the restaurants I’ve visited, this one feels the most authentic and genuinely Thai.

The flavors are amazing and remind me exactly of eating in Thailand. I especially loved the crispy fried pork with spicy dipping sauce, the wagyu beef pad kra pao, the shumai, and the sago dumplings. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for real Thai food. It honestly feels like dining in Thailand again!

Such a nice spot !! Went to ardor wines and stopped in here by chance afterwards. We had the khao soi and sakoo, both of which were fantastic. The Thai coconut custard was also beautifully presented – not a smooth yogurt-like custard, à la crème brûlée, but a dense rice pudding made with young green rice simmered with creamy coconut milk. Highly recommend !

Some of the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. Unusual and authentic dishes, everything is super flavorful. I could eat the pork salad with crispy rice on the daily. Friendly service and if you’re lucky you’ll get a glimpse of mascots Daikon and Sushi.

We ordered five items. Sakoo, Seafoods Tom Yum, Panang Chicken, Drradood and Pad Kee Mao. All of the items were very salty to our taste.

We also ordered two Thai Ice Tea and they didn’t come before dinner started.

They forgot the Pad Kee Mao. They only brought it out when we asked about it.
Asked for the chili flakes and it never was brought out.

Additionally, the portion is very small. Please do not expect to share or have leftover. Walked out and still were hungry.

The menu is very limited. No fish plate or fried rice.

I unfortunately will not able to recommend this new restaurant as we have had many other great Thai restaurants in Portland such as Cha Ba Thsi, Dang Thai and 9 Dang Fine Cuisine.

Very hard to find parking in this area.
