I couldn’t find any bakeries that made cinnamon buns with raisins in it.i live in south merrick and so happy I went to Zio last week. The service was great and they put aside for me til I was able to get there.i grew up in Manhattan and buns on Sunday was an Italian Ritual and Zios buns were delicious. I pass alot of bakeries between merrick and Zios location but it was well worth it.The buns were excellent. Thank you so much.Sincerely Steven

This is a large bakery with a wide assortment of bread, cakes, and cookies as well as pastries. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They offer non-traditional ST Joseph pastry fillings and sicilian style items like cartoucci. The cakes are skillfully decorated and there were many to choose from.

I tried Zios casa di dolce the other day. I will be honest, I got hooked watching their Facebook reels- watching all the baking of the breads, cookies and cakes and of course all the kitchen shenanigans going on. Walking in the front door for the first time was a little underwhelming. It was empty of customers, cold and all the perimeter shelves were empty. The floor cases were full with cookie, cake and pastry items but the wall shelves had no breads, rolls etc. I ordered an Americano with some whole milk and 2 pieces of Carrot Cake for my wife and daughter. The young lady behind the counter was trying her best but I got the feeling she wasn’t well versed with the espresso machine. The coffee did not hit the mark—it was like a warm cup of milk, watery, not hot, the coffee flavor was lost in the excessive milk. I definitely expected a higher quality coffee from an Italian Shop. The Carrot Cakes however were dynamite! They were fresh, moist, not overly sweet with delicious cream cheese frosting! While not loving my first visit, the Carrot Cake was good enough for me to come back and try it again ( everyone has bad days, I will give the benefit of the doubt). Looking forward to trying again.

A nice bakery with a wide selection of delicious options from Sweet treats, to artisan Breads, and loaded BEC Sandwiches. My BECSPK on the Prosciutto roll was stacked with bacon and this bread creates a great bite. Their Pretzel buns are top notch, the same buns that BlueBird Kitchen uses down the street and for the right reasons, we made amazing burgers at home with these buns and I wouldn’t choose anything else. Staff inside was friendly and lots of options including their last Sourdough Loaf of the day were still available even around 12:30-1pm.

WOW! This bakery is amazing. Everything is super fresh and they have a large selection of practically anything. They also make bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches on the most delicious bread rolls with pancetta.

Went there on Friday for some cookies but found a gingerbread house instead. Absolutely, beautiful! They had so many at the time so grab one while u can! I don’t remember the name of the sweet girl that helped me but this bakery impresses me more and more every time I go there! For thanksgiving we got a grain pie, apple pie and pumpkin and they were all delicious. It was the 1st all the pies were finished with no leftovers. I also got a prosciutto bread, I would’ve like a little more prosciutto in it, but the bread itself was fresh soft and delicious. I’m heading back there this week for another gingerbread house. Hopefully, they still have more!

Zio’s Casa Di Dolce treats you like family! The whole process of working with Zio’s was a wedding vendor dream. Beginning at our cake tasting and leading up to the fine tuning of delivery day details, Zio’s made the whole process of our wedding cake as stress free and as easy as possible. They worked with us on having as many flavors in our cake as we wanted and made sure the “simple” cake vision we had was perfectly achieved. They made helpful and genuine recommendations along the way which I really appreciated. We opted to have platters of Italian and butter cookies for each table of guests as well, which were all beautifully plated, wrapped and a hit! Zio’s also customized individually wrapped black and white cookies as our favor to our guests. I can’t emphasize how many guests are still raving about how delicious every single dessert was! Plus, every time we stepped foot into the bakery we just wanted to eat more! We cannot recommend Zio’s enough for any and every aspect of your wedding or bakery needs!!!

Delicious cake, beautiful frosting flowers, & great customer service. They totally worked with us for a last minute gender reveal birthday cake surprise!! We also got some pastries and the chocolate covered rainbow cookie ones were so moist and a big hit!! We will definitely be making Zio’s our new bakery!

Best bakery EVER!!!!!! I’ve ordered so many cookie trays from Zio’s, and they are always beautiful and delicious. They also made me the most fantastic birthday cake, and I get my weekly bread here… so fresh. I’ve been here many, many times, and I have ALWAYS left happy! Plus, they are owned by the most amazing and kind family!
