Came at 2pm on a raining saturday and there is no seat – very popular apparently – seats got cleared around 3pm. Perhaps it’s best to avoid coming during meal hours if you want to eat in. Seems most people just do takeout.

The food is very authentic and tasty – we loved all we ordered. The desserts are a bit on the sweeter side for us.

Will def come back again – the meats are so good with very good flavors!! The crispy pork skin is very crunchy and yum!!

What a gem! We shared the Fully Stacked Lechon Belly Combo.

Everything was sooo flavorful! The Lechon was the perfect combination of crispy and juicy, the Longanisa was super flavorful and the garlic rice with the adobo sauce hit the spot!

Don’t sleep on the beef empanadas either! Will definitely be back sometime!

Seating can be hard to come by (so maybe plan on taking it to go), but a busy spot is also a sign of just how good the food is!

Wowzers. The lechon is crispy, succulent, and chefs kiss with the dipping sauce. You get a better deal ordering by weight – $15.99 per half lb today (it changes based on market price). Also tried the sisig (yum), the garlic rice (seasoned nicely), sweet longanisa (my favorite thing, must order), the beef empanadas (flavorful, a bit small), and desserts – pandan cake (winner) and ube cheese cake (the flavor is spot on but the the texture is slightly too chalky). They cater!

Delicious!! This was our first visit and everything was amazing. The “fully stacked” combo was fantastic, as well as the adobo chicken sandwich. Specialty weekend donuts were light & fluffy. My kids liked the Filipino spaghetti. Highly recommend this restaurant

This was our second visit, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious, from appetizers to desserts. The restaurant is quite small, so during peak hours, you may need to wait for a table or opt for takeout.

I highly recommend their ube shake—it’s a must-try! If you’re strict about your diet, this might be a tempting spot to avoid, but if you’re looking to experience amazing Filipino flavors, this is definitely the place to go.

I’ve been meaning to make my way out here for the past two years and I’m finally happy I was around the area to try it out.

Food:

We ordered a pound of lechon, flan, garlic rice and the tortang talong.

The lechon was delicious, juicy and the skin was almost glass with the crunch. A pound can feed up to 3 people, and the garlic rice is not too oily so it pairs pretty well with a fried egg as well. The tortang talong was well made and I think the addition of mozzarella really added to the taste as well. The flan is dense and delicious, a few bites and I’m satisfied so one order of them will probably be about 4-6 servings depending on how much you enjoy sweets. Most importantly, they don’t skimp on rice, and that I can really appreciate this place for.

Services:

The staff were expeditious with our food as well, and the tables were clean and well kept. The bathrooms also were maintained and tidy.

Kuya Ja’s will now be my mainstay for delicious and affordable Filipino food, please don’t change ownership or sell like Sari Sari!

The meal did not disappoint and I will probably make any excuse I can to be near the restaurant now.

This place had been on my list to check out for quite a while. I have actually been to their sister restaurant Lapu Lapu where they focus on awesome Filipino breakfast sandwiches, but needed to check out the mothership. I definitely was not disappointed.

So many great things on the menu but I narrowed it to the Sisig appetizer and the Pancit bowl for my first (of what will be many) visit(s). Both were excellent. The Sisig was robust and aides by some of their delicious jalapeno cream sauce. The Pancit had so much diverse flavor, even in the thin noodles themselves, that it didn’t need anything, but adding their chipotle mayo to each bite definitely jacked up the flavor even more!

Great, friendly service and a small but well laid out restaurant.

Can’t wait to return to try more things on the menu.

SHOCKED at how good this place is!! Chicken was so tender it fell right off the bone. Lumpia was crispy and light yet filling. Service was great! If I lived closer, I’d be here every week. So delicious!!

Got Kuya Ja’s for my wedding party 2 years ago. And still, to this day, it slaps. In fact, funnily enough I’ve heard chatter from people from work saying how good Kuya ja’s is and I work in California lol. GET THE SISIG!
