I had the spicy hotpot and beef soup which are amazing. The meat is super high quality and chewy, the soup is nicely mixed which is neither too oily nor too heavy. Also the ambience in the restaurant is cozy and warm, feels like having a meal in an auntie’s house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Their speciality is beef noodles, which is a must try if you’re in the area. The broth is savory without being overly salty, and the beef is nice and tender. I recommend having it with their mustard greens on the side. The noodles are bouncy, and the meal overall is comforting and especially satisfying in cold weather.

I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years and to this day 88 still makes my favorite beef noodle soup. This is a small business run by Vivian who’s been running this shop ever since I first discovered this place. You can bet that when you come here, you will get a nice home-cooked meal and their house beef noodle soup (first on the menu) is second to none. No over-the-top decor or glamour, just good food and good people.

This is a nice place for Beef Noodle Soup. I got their #1 House Beef Soup and the meat was tender and flavorful. Also I highly recommend the Mango Smoothie for a drink. The owner was friendly and there’s free parking in lot outside.

The premium beef noodle soup I got was a solid 2. I wanted to like the place more but there were too many factors making me dislike it. The meat offerings were alright and fair, and tripe is not always offered which was nice. However one of the tendons was still cold on the inside which was unfortunate. There were also two noodle clumps that were not separated properly, or at all during cooking which really sucked. As for the broth, I personally like things a but saltier/spicy but regardless I thought it was alright. It was not super rich, but I won’t say it lacked flavor.. maybe just complexity? I also didn’t find it spicy at all, but no mind I just added some more chili oil myself.
If everything was hot + unclumped I’d give this bowl a 3 star. The reason I’m currently rating this place a 3 is because the service was great and I didn’t have any issues with that. I will say though, at the price point (20$ OTD tax/tip/service fee; which I understand is likely going to be the same in many places) I would probably not order it again. Just didn’t seem worth it for a 3 star bowl.

Takes some time for your order to come, but worth it (the pictures speak for themselves).
2022 edit: I have yet to find a better beef noodle shop in the area. While I now try to avoid consuming meat, I still occasionally remember how good the noodle soup is here.
