Awesome pizza, made just one should. Great crust with the right crisp and burn. Spot on and looks as good as it tastes. Nice set up in a large spot of the food hall near the Epic Axe and Raleigh Rolls for a treat. Bar scene is everywhere so that a bonus.

I’d been looking for a truly authentic Neapolitan pizza for a while, and I was happy to discover this spot in the downtown area that brings together several food vendors under one roof. Such a great concept!

The pizza itself has really good potential. The sauce and cheese are both high quality, and the price is excellent. I added mushrooms and onions as toppings, but they were a bit too heavily seasoned for my taste, which made the pizza slightly too salty and took away from its natural flavor.

Also, the pizza wasn’t baked evenly, and unfortunately, some parts came out a bit burnt. Still, I’m sure that with more experience using their special oven, the team will be able to perfect it. This pizza definitely has great potential!

EXCEPTIONAL pizza. The dough/crust, the crushed tomato sauce, absolutely incredible. This is how pizza should be. All the elements were equally delicious.

The pizza was top-notch and almost earned this place a well-deserved 5 stars. However, a couple of things brought it down to a 4. First, the pizza was just slightly overdone—still very edible, but noticeable. Lastly, it would be great to see staff washing their hands between handling payments and doing final food prep with bare hands. Some guests can be a bit germ-conscious.

This was pretty good. I didn’t realize this was inside Morgan Street food hall which made it slightly more complicated to access with parking etc. But it was yummy, though I would probably eat it there and then to enjoy it at its peak! I loved the personal size pizzas and it was ready on time.

Delicious pizza with great flavor! We especially recommend the hot honey pizza—it was a standout. The pizzas are on the smaller side and a bit pricey, so if you’re really hungry, one might not be enough for just one person.

It took about 15–20 minutes to be ready, which was expected and totally fine. Overall, the quality and taste were excellent, just keep portion size in mind. Would definitely come back for that hot honey flavor!

We had their food truck today at Deep River Brewery in Clayton. Could this be the best pizza my wife and I ever had? Possibly.

Not to be a stereotype but I’m from Long Island, lived in Brooklyn, etc etc. I like to think I’ve had many good pizzas. This is the only time I can ever remember biting into a pizza and feeling like the first time I ate a good Beef Wellington.

The hot honey pizza in particular. And the ranch is like idk they got cows in that food truck making it fresh or something but yeah it’s all incredible, buy this pizza

Overall Rating: 3.4/10
With a focus on a few select dishes, this establishment unfortunately didn’t hit the mark where it really mattered.

Service: 4.2
Service was straightforward: order at the counter, wait a short while for the pizza to be ready, and that’s about all the interaction there is.

Food:

Margherita Pizza: 3.4/10
The pizza’s taste was alright, but the cooking left much to be desired. The bottom was partly burnt and inedible, while the center was just warm and underdone, resulting in a doughy flop.

Value: 3.1/10
Priced at $12, the cost seems excessive, particularly given the pizza’s size and the fact that it’s a fairly simple dish. Even with perfect cooking, the price would be a bit much for what was provided.

Absolutely loved HotBox! We tried three different pies – the hot honey, the pepperoni and the prosciutto. We loved all three, but the hot honey took the top spot for me – such a well balanced pizza and full of flavor. I should also mention that the crust was so insanely good, especially when you dip it in their homemade ranch.

I don’t know how they managed to shove a brick oven in that truck, but it turns out some of the best food I’ve ever had from a food truck.

Hands down one of my top pizza picks in Raleigh, we’ll be headed down to the food hall soon for some more great pies!
