One thing I’ll say – portions i thought were reasonable, bordering on generous (especially the bananas tiramisu dessert – we split one and still only ate half of it). Service was great, atmosphere was kind of like a night club with music playing, but not too loud – we thought the food was average at best, not outstanding – but decent. We also had drinks – I liked both the Moscato and the Banana Mai Tai.

We chose Angelina’s to celebrate our 6-year wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect decision.

– Tuna Tartare: Presented in a deconstructed style, it was vibrant and full of flavor—an exciting start to the meal.
– Short Rib: When the server brought a spoon, I knew it would be tender, and it truly was—moist, rich, and deeply flavorful.
– Trout: Cooked beautifully and served in a way that surprised me, but the taste exceeded expectations.
– Dessert: A carrot cake without nuts or raisins, which I appreciated. While I wished the cream topping had been a touch sweeter, the cake itself was delicious and a satisfying finish.

What made the evening even more special was sharing the experience with friends we recommended that same night—they loved their entrees just as much.

Angelina’s delivered a memorable dining experience, perfect for a celebration, and we left feeling grateful we chose this spot.

They got their liquor license a couple of months ago, so we sat at the bar for drinks before dinner. Kim made a perfect (dry) dirty martini and an espresso martini; both excellent.
Our waitress Jackie was friendly and resourceful. We shared the potato latkes with a herb and cream sauce for appetizer, and “the kitchen” sent us a very generous portion of breaded and fried green olives with aioli.
For entrées, my husband had the burger with pork belly and I had the rigatoni in red sauce and stracciatella cheese, that we enjoyed very much.
We have had dessert in the past, but last night we didn’t have any room for that.
This is definitely a place for any occasion for a dinner for two or more.

A trendy corner spot in the center of Southwedge Neighborhood. The bar is in a separate space from the restaurant, but the atmosphere connects through music. The service was very friendly and attentive. The menu is very creative, and changes seasonally. The appetizer was hands down my favorite dish. My friend and I split the Spanish Goat Cheese dip, that came with fried crackers. It was unbelievable!! The chicken cutlet had incredible crunch, which the chicken was juicy. It’s one of the more straightforward traditional dishes for the less daring. The carbonara was rich, creamy, and very flavorful, with a creative spin. I highly recommend the ice tea.

Came here for a quick GNO with a friend and the place is so cute! Been meaning to come here for a while and it didn’t disappoint. There’s multiple options for seating throughout the restaurant, a clear and straightforward menu, a lovely wine list and GREAT food. It was very loud at times but it would die down quickly and unfortunately most of our fries were burnt. The ones that weren’t tasted great though! Our server was funny and attentive. Will be coming again!

Would highly recommend the brussel sprouts!

This was my first time dining at Angelina’s. We had the miso carrots which were excellent. We ordered a margarita off the menu and a cosmopolitan which were both very good as well. For the entrees we ordered the short rib-incredibly tender, flavorful and a great sized portion. We also ordered the burger, this was good but not incredible. There were a lot of wet veggies on the burger that were kind of overwhelming and led to a soggy bun. To finish I ordered an espresso martini off the drink menu. This was not good at all in my opinion. I know most places put their own spin on espresso martinis, but this drink had a very strong black licorice/star anise flavor that was overwhelming, I couldn’t help but make a face after trying it. For a $14 cocktail this was disappointing. Overall, everything was very good and we will definitely return to try the spring/summer menu.

Goes under the radar but easily in the running for best restaurant in Rochester. Been here maybe 5 times and every time I walk away not only satisfied but thoroughly impressed. Rotating seasonal menu always has new options and they are consistently excellent. Brunch is great too. Prices are below all of the other “high end” places in the city and they aren’t loud or packed even on weekends.

In a market packed with excellent restaurants, Angelina’s still manages to stand out as a cut above the rest! Do not hesitate to come in and experience their seasonal menu, that’s crafted to encourage sharing (though you’re not forced to!). The service was knowledgeable, unobtrusive, but still very attentive. Ambiance is warm and familiar, with fresh flowers on the table. Every dish our table of 3 tried was excellent, and we were blown away by the different tastes! Of note: gnudi were outstanding, as were the mushrooms. Many vegetarian options, some vegan, and a variety of gluten free, all well labeled. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as it’s on street, but it’s worth it in the end! Please forgive the not clean plates in the pictures…I just couldn’t help myself and started eating before I remembered to pull out my camera. That’s how good it was!

We went to Angelina’s for dinner on Halloween night. Impeccable is how I would describe the experience. The drink menu was incredible, food was truly shareable with portion sizes that reflect the price.

The carrots and the arancini are heavenly and not to be missed. I was so into the meal that I forgot to take photos, save one of the short rib!

Go the Angelina’s!
