I have been there three times this year. Each time I visit my daughter at Penn State it’s a must stop. I’m typically there with a party of 4. We have had many menu items and found them all to be very good to excellent. The portions and pricing are very good. I’m not a big bbq lover but, the sandwich and salad choices are huge. The chicken wrap I had on my last visit was out of this world. Awesome deli meats. If you don’t see something you like, create your own. The facilities are always clean and well kept. I actually look forward to stopping there after my 3 1/2 hour drive. Enjoy… I know that you will

I had forgotten about Carver’s amid the foolishness of 2020. My husband remembered and we stopped Friday late afternoon.
What a treat! The restaurant was spotless! Staff was welcoming and VERY helpful. We opted for a chicken, full rack of ribs and brisket. Fabulous choice! The ribs were tender yet held together enough to not need silverware. The brisket was so tender it was amazing. Chicken was perfectly done with a lovely smokey flavor.
Compared to other BBQ in the area, it is the best. Prices are in line with other restaurants.
Next time we will add sides to our order – can’t wait to try the coleslaw.
Great food, good prices, convenient location – Carver’s is back in our regular line-up!

Good courteous service, exceptional sandwiches, clean. State college prices. Good tables. Very large sandwich menu. Delicious home made bread. It’s more of a deli. You order st the counter, sit down, they bring your order out. Highly recommended.

I have long heard stories of how good Carves Deli & Barbecue was, and now I can attest to their quality. Cravers is excellent! They have a huge selection of sandwiches and wraps, prices are on point for lunch foods, and ultimately the food is delicious. I would be happy to eat here many more times. I would encourage you to try it out. I have high confidence you will find it a good experience, because I have never heard a bad word about this place.

The barbecue ham sandwich was incredibly delicious. I’ve also had the beef barbecue, which was equally as delicious. This is a great deli. I”m so glad there’s a good deli in State College. Pizza places are way too many…about as many as fleas on a dog. Give me deli any day.

Great pulled pork sandwich with a quality roll and great gold bbq sauce (just the right amount of mustard). Creamy and tasty mac and cheese. Also very happy with gluten free offerings for my husband. We would definitely come again when in the area

I come here at least once a week! I get the same thing everytime, and it’s always so amazing! The employees are so friendly and kind, and such a clean place! I’m always recommending Carver’s to my friends! Such a cute place, and great for off-campus studying!
