I got the California Burrito and it slapped. Came with two flavorful (not spicy) salsa (green and red). Only thing that was tricky for me was getting to the place! lol it’s located in a gated Nissan car dealerships parking lot. Had to get to it by driving into the entrance to the dealership.

Spent about $40 ordering food from this place for delivery and this is the majority of what I received. I tried reaching out for assistance in correcting this matter but was told that nothing could be done. After eating this crap, I was also running to the bathroom in severe pain & throwing up all night and into today as well. It caused me to miss work most likely due to food poisoning. To say that I am totally disappointed in this food experience, would be an understatement.. The pains I have experienced after eating this garbage have been nothing short of excruciating. I most certainly will not be back, and I will share my experience with everyone I know!

Since 228 Cocina has opened we have patronized this business and always have had amazing service as well as the food! Mona Lisa made you feel like family and when she left then came Renee the young Manager that took the food and service to the next level but the last few times we have ordered our usual breakfast burritos and all green salsa, but it has not been good! The chorizo was incredibly greasy and the green salsa was more like jello than it was like salsa. Although I am hesitant to order food from them because now for the 3rd time I’ve thrown away $30 worth of food, I would be willing to give it a shot if things go back to how they were but if not and this continues we really will not be back.

Today I found this hidden gem. This “food trailer” has quality Mexican food. The service is great. The food is freshly made with a really fantastic flavor. Mona Lisa is an excellent host that will answer any question you may have about the menu . It is hidden just behind the Gulfport Nissan used car dealer ship, kind of towards the Service Center area You will the red umbrellas and the benches. Come and give 228 Cocina a chance you will not regret it.

Despite being only customers there, it somehow took more than 30 minutes to throw a couple of tacos together. I ordered street tacos. What I got was not a street taco.
It was a single flour tortilla, ( instead of the usual double corn), what is better known as a ” soft taco” which I do not like.
Won’t be going back.
