We ordered the Ranchero Steak & Shrimp, Gorditas and two kids tacos meals by phone. The first time we called, we were placed on hold for over 15 minutes and after assuming we were forgotten about we hung up. I called again a few minutes later, someone else answered and I asked if they were too busy for pick up orders right now and explained the previous call. I was asked who I talked to which I said “I dont know” and she started laughing saying “it was probably Julie”. After she stopped laughing and collected herself, she said sorry and took my order.

The food itself was okay. I was supposed to get a side salad and avocado slices with my meal as listed on the menu and didnt recieve it. My kids Sprites tasted like water with something barely resembling Sprite. Not sure why but they both refused to drink it because it tasted so strange. The food was okay though. My husband rated the gorditas a 3 out of 5. My steak was fine and the veggies and shrimp were cooked well. Slightly better flavor overall than Nuevo Leon.

UPDATE: We hadn’t been out there in a couple of years for whatever reason so we went last night. The Chimichanga with beans was awesome and cooked perfectly not too crispy and not too chewy. The rice and beans had great flavor and my husbands avocado burger has become his favorite. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the wait staff is always very nice.

The queso is basically just really runny cheese soup. The salsa was actually pretty good, but the chips were overcooked. The rice was really dry and tasteless. The fajita beef quesadilla was delicious. If you guys can fix your chips and queso it would make a huge difference.

I like the service and the people..I real like the food, but if you go around 4:00pm. You get recooked meat from lunch. It taste like overcook, recooked left overs.. Shouldn’t server steak meat like that or even hamburger meat..It use to be better.. It’s still the best Mexican food around Hobart.

Very friendly. The fajitas were perfectly grilled, steamy, with a wonderful home blend rub. Chips made in-house, along with a great table salsa. We’ll be back for the grilled fish from the quite lengthy seafood menu. Not a fancy place so come in your boots and denims.
