Okay I have to write a review for this experience. I want to preface this by saying, I love Alberto’s Express and have been eating here since they were in the food court where Cancun is now (iykyk).
That being said, I had an absolutely disgusting experience recently.
On Friday, Feb 20th around 10:30am, I went in and made a to-go order for 2 chicken and rice burritos smothered in half and half with cheese on top, and a half pint of pork green chili.
Ate the pork green chili on some fries at home, it was amazing, as I have come to expect from this spot.
I pulled out a burrito to eat tonight for dinner and I have no idea what it even was but it was definitely not chicken or rice and it was the most disgusting meat, I have a queasy stomach even thinking about it.
I could tell there were beans and some sort of meat that I thought was beef? But it was extremely salty, hard, crunchy almost, and had pieces that I thought were potatoes at first but I think were actually gobs of fat. I had to throw it all out. Even the green chili couldn’t save it.
I just hope a manager or someone sees this because I mean, I’ve been so loyal to you guys, I don’t even go to the original Alberto’s, just the express because I love you guys. But man, this was really really bad.
Still giving 4 stars because I don’t want to bring down your rating or anything, I still love y’all, but just pay attention to your orders and maybe do a little quality control.

Visited this location for the first time, and couldn’t stop asking myself why I haven’t stopped by sooner! They are so close to my house and I’ve wasted my money elsewhere too many times since moving here. The queso alone was worth the trip! The deluxe smothered burrito wa excellent and they just moved to a bigger location so there was plenty of space to enjoy myself.
Do yourself a favor a stop by, you won’t regret it!

I had called yesterday 01/22/26 to place a bulk order for breakfast burritos for an event. The lady on the phone was being smart mouthed about a simple order. This was my first time placing an order and I guess I wasn’t answering her questions correctly. I went to pick up the order today and she told me twice that there was not order for pick up and asked I go check out the other store instead. After I insisted that I placed it there she rudely walked away and immediately found it “in the back”. All of the burritos she gave me are the same when I had ordered for them to be half bacon and half the other meat they had today. The side of red salsa I asked for spilt in the box all over. Great food but the customer service is crap.

Great place to pickup yummy breakfast burritos!! 😉 And note that they have moved 3 doors to the East, in the same building complex, so they can have more room for a sit down meal! Highly recommend!!

They have amazing burritos here! And they have an option for veggie green chili that comes in mild, hot, or half and half that is so good!

I slept approximately 2.5 hours last night and all I wanted was a potato, egg and cheese breakfast burrito to get me through my day.
So I called and was told they stopped making breakfast at 9:30 but she’d ask the chef. He hopped on the line and said it would be no problem and asked how many I wanted.
Bless this man!
So here I sit – two breakfast burritos in hand far more content than anyone could possibly imagine! And they are delicious!

The salsa is way to runny and to much cilantro, the tostada was soggy, and the tamale was burnt, the taco was very soggy went to pick it up and it crumbled. Very unpleased with this order.

Albertos has become a breakfast burrito shop and nothing more. I have eaten here many times over the years. The entrees are getting smaller and smaller with fewer toppings and now they rely purely on smothered chili for any flavor. I recently ordered the Navajo taco. If you have ever ordered an Indian Taco at a carnival or festival, you know what they should look like – a nice fluffy but slightly crisp flat bread with beans and beef covered with cheese and toppings. That’s not what I got. I got a flour tortilla soaked in grease from a deep fryer, and then slathered with refried beans, flavorless taco meat and way too much lettuce. The entire thing is smothered in green sauce which is way more watered down than it used to be. It did not look good and it tasted even worse. Their beef is the lowest quality and they have to smother it to have any flavor. The tortilla was too soggy to identify. The beans would be better straight from a can. There was no sour cream no olives, almost no tomatoes, but lots of lettuce to try and cover up this disaster of a taco. They charged me almost $9 for the single taco with no drink. It wasn’t worth $2. I advise skipping this place unless buying basic breakfast burritos. The quality is completely gone.
