I was shocked at how empty this spot was given how busy the parking lot was when we pulled in…but we were greeted by smile friendly faces all around!
The coffee is strong, but not bitter, smooth—with a hint of cinnamon. It’s an interesting combination.
The chilaquiles is enough for two people to make a meal off of and full of flavor. Rice was fluffy, beans were creamy and flavorful as well. Often in Mexican restaurants I feel these two sides are sad afterthought’s, and that’s not the case here. It’s clear everything from start to finish is touched with a bit of love.
My husband had the Huevos Al Gusto, and this also didn’t disappoint! The house made sausage is fantastic (a must try in my humble opinion). The tamales are also made fresh to order, another fine touch and detail.
Definitely check them out if you’re looking for some comfort food, it’s certain to hit the spot!

We came to Cocina De La Tia for the first time. After seeing the pictures of tacos we had to try them. They were very delicious. It’s hard to find authentic street tacos like these. I would highly recommend.

One of Marietta’s best hidden gems and a must try! Solid, delicious, authentic Mexican food. The house-made salsas are out of this world, as are the homemade tortillas, aguas frescas, flavorful meats – really, everything I’ve eaten there has been phenomenal! Everything is made to order and worth the wait. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly.

From the pictures it looks like this restaurant has really good food and good vibes but I was very underwhelmed. The front girl had an attitude from the moment walked in. She wasn’t rude but had a I-want-to-roll-my-eyes-at-you demeanor about her. She didn’t want to take the time to help us out with the menu or make recommendations. While the vibes and vibrant colors are nice, they play very loud banda music that is guaranteed to give you a headache and you won’t hear what the person at the other end of the table is saying. More importantly, the food is really bad. The beans have no flavor at all, they forgot to even add salt! Canned beans are way better than this. What a joke. Tortillas are store bought. The meat is overcooked and tastes dry. My husband said “how can chipotle taste better than this ??”

Second time coming and service was still phenomenal. This time we sat on the bar/counter and we got to see them prepare and cook everything by hand.
Ladies were so welcoming and atmosphere was so relaxing and the music was great. Sure made me feel like I was in Mexico.
Food sometimes may take longer to come out and that is because it is homemade/handmade.
Food was also delicious and the salsa specially the avocado salsa is OMG so tasty. Not to mention the aguas frescas (watermelon) was surprisingly really good and it was out first time trying that flavor ever.
Definitely family oriented and I encourage everyone to try it out.

The food was amazing. I had the chiccaron with rojo sauce and two carne asada tacos. Everything was seasoned well and flavorful. I also got to practice some Espanol at the register. All in all a great experience. I’m in my car now trying not to fall asleep from the “itis”

The barbacoa doesn’t look NOR taste like barbacoa, its most likely boiled meat no flavor, took too long for a torta that was… cold on the bread, with no flavor whatsoever I drove to this place thinking it wss gonna be good due to the reviews… big mistake. The meat looked so weird, not shredded more like… smashed… I would not come back.
