Good smoothies, pour assistance. They placed our smoothies in a bag that ripped and spilled wasting all the contents. When I called for help they picked up the phone but wouldn’t reply. Finally when someone started talking they offer zero assistance.

I ordered a peanut butter cup. The first one I was served was straight up peanut water. It was weird and not like what I normally get. So, like the scared (adult) wuss that I am I told the girl (Ellen) up front. She explained to me what she thought may have happened (tiny banana) and remade it for me. And it was very good. She made it easy to tell even though no one likes complaining. Thanks Ellen for being so kind.

Tropical Smoothie is a company I enjoy going to every location because they are consistent and they must treat their employees good to have great employees at every location. This location in particular has been so great they always help me out if I need it and are quick to greet me at the door. The manager here is so nice and no matter how busy he is he makes sure to have face time with the customers which is hard to find in managers these days so that’s refreshing to be around.

Not a good first impression. I placed an online order so it would be ready when I got there as I was on my lunch break. There were about 7 cars in the drive thru when I arrived and 3 people waiting inside for food orders already placed. Nothing on the online orders shelf, so I checked the delivery order shelf but mine was not there either. I watched the drive thru clear out as well as 3 cars that arrived after me. I was not even acknowledged for 12 minutes (I know because I arrived at the time my online order said it would be ready) only to find my order was just sitting behind the counter. I recognize they were busy, but the total lack of acknowledgement ruined the experience for me especially because my order was ready but just not moved to the pick up shelf.

Very clean and sunny place. We had fast and kind customer service (we were there in the morning). Smoothie was very good. Also I had Avocado grilled cheese sandwich – it was really yummy.

Almost 8 dollars for a quesadilla cooked so long it’s as thin as a sheet of paper and hard as a rock. This place has the worst quality consistency of any restaurant I’ve been to. Some days it’s great, others it’s absolutely awful and takes a year to get the food. The negative experiences are definitely more than the positive lately, I don’t think I’m going to continue coming here anymore.

I have visited this establishment before & won’t be returning to the Lake in the Hills location. They supposedly use fresh foods in their menu and smoothies! Clearly, by the photo they do not.

I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe and I tried a new location on 6/7 thinking they were all the same, but I ordered an acai bowl in an empty restaurant and waited 10 minutes (I counted) just for them to walk up to me with a freezer burnt bowl. I literally asked them if they got it out of the freezer because it was like eating shards of ice, I couldn’t even dig into it and they said yes. It took 10 minutes to grab me something out of the freezer? So I asked them to make me a fresh one and instead of doing so, the morning advisor for the day came up and told me that they’re fresh but premade so, no, I could not get one made on the spot. I wasn’t offered for it to be corrected, refunded or substituted it for something else, I left dissatisfied.
