Seriously? Why would you serve this. The cornbread is clearly burnt. It made my entire plate smell burnt. The macaroni had a good taste but the pasta was overcooked and mushy. Seems like the kitchen struggles with timing . The chicken had too much hair on for my liking. Waste of $50.

Ordered via Uber Eats a chicken and fried fish dinner. They forgot to add the fish. I called back the owner was very understanding and accommodating. I had to reorder via Uber Eats, in which he sent the cash for the item I ordered. What became frustrating to me is that, I got reimbursed for item I had to order in order to receive the fish ( water bottle). But I still had to pay twice the delivery from the first time and second time, which is unfair given that the mistake was on their end. I wasn’t planning on paying twice for a meal they messed up. The food was good though. The whole process was aggravating tho. Def recommend going in person to order.

Photos on the site are misleading. They do not sell whole chicken pieces only wingettes which makes the pricing too high. They also advertise salads and dirty rice which they do not sell.

6 piece wings, Mac and cheese and yams, overall was good. The Mac taste a lil like they put some herb seasoning in the Mac, not really a big fan of that, yams is sweet watch out now lol u can tell they were glazed i taste a bit of nutmeg i cud be wrong. Wings were very fresh! Definitely will try other things on menu.

Soul food is on point I remember having one bad experience when I ordered 6 chicken wings and they didn’t have any and they gave me 3 whole wings(like Chinese chicken wings) I called them and they gave me an attitude from frustration of explaining. that was the last time I ate from there but the food is great. Be prepared to wait atleast 40 plus min after ordering.

Why is this food so good? I ordered the salmon with Collard greens and candied yams. They even threw in some asparagus underneath the salmon. The yams were extra sweet, the greens were extra savory, and the salmon was juicy. I have a weakness for would good and this hits the spot! I’m from SC visiting , saw this gem on tic tok and I must say I definitely give this a 10/10. That Mac n cheese definitely do not miss !! And those yams hunny was everything !!!! 6 pc wings was so delicious. I will definitely be trying Trap Chicken again when I come back to Connecticut!!!
