The place is actually below a windmill and kind of iconic.
The service and the staffs were pleasant as well. Well done!
First and foremost, the location of this restaurant is truly remarkable.
Windmill virundhu offers an excellent dining experience. The interior is very authentic Tamil, comfortable, with enough space for both couples and families. Service was efficient and welcoming throughout our visit. The owners were extremely friendly !
The menu has a good balance of classic and creative options; the items I ordered were well-prepared and beautifully presented. Prices are reasonable for the quality provided. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
Authentic South Indian food, which is rare to come by in several cities of Western Europe. Most places serve the usual butter chicken style dishes adapted for European tastes, but here the flavors are truly authentic. The menu is simple yet covers most South Indian delicacies, the food is excellent, and the owners Vishnu and Akshaya were warm and welcoming.
Highly recommend – wishing them all the success!
All in all a happy Friday takeaway. Thanks to the hosts. Also happy to have a south Indian restaurant so close by in veldhoven
However, the food can be improved a lot. We had Chintamani chicken, Chetinad chicken, Madras chicken, and laccha paranthas – one of the curry was quite salty and the food didn’t meet expectations in terms of taste and chicken sizes. Felt the chicken was disintegrated because of heating it many times.
I think it’s new and it takes time to adapt but overall staff was quite nice and with some efforts in taste, it could be really an amazing spot.
