I love this place! Any time I’m in Beaumont, I don’t pass up the opportunity to eat here. The tortillas are always fresh as well as the meat. I usually get 4 tacos with a small consommé for about $13. No complaints *chef’s kiss*

Ate here cause was recommended & I see why. Everything, I mean everyyyything I’ve gotten here has been chefs kiss. This place is so freaking good. I’ve ordered birria, tacos, consume, quesatacos, carne asada fries & every time sooo good. The salsas are so good too. It’s a must try spot. Also inside the place is really clean. I really liked that.

I’m not sure why people come on Yelp or Google just to bash a small business like this. If you ever have an issue, ask for the owner because they are usually around and willing to make things right.
I’ve been to Tacos El Cheko multiple times and I keep coming back because it’s exactly what it claims to be, a taco dive spot with good eats that hit the craving every time. It’s not a fancy five star restaurant, but it doesn’t try to be. The dining room is small and casual, the kind of place you can relax, enjoy your food, and feel part of the local scene.
The service has always been friendly, the food comes out fresh, and the prices are fair. It is definitely not overpriced like some other spots in town. Whether you’re in the mood for tacos, burritos, or just a quick bite, El Cheko delivers solid and satisfying flavor.

I absolutely love their food! Never disappoint! I have tried their burritos & tacos. For 2 tacos, it’s $6.66. One of my favorite places to get lunch from. Green sauce is my go to.

This was my first time coming here after hearing about how great it was so I was excited and I got there about 15 minutes before closing, and my 2 tacos that I ordered were burnt to a crisp, and I was told there would be lettuce and cilantro and onions which it did not have. Very disappointed.

I’m honestly really disappointed. I’ve been coming to Tacos El Cheko for a while now, but after today, I might be done. I specifically asked for handmade tortillas and got the regular ones instead—on top of that, they were all burnt. My daughter’s quesadilla? Completely burnt too. This isn’t just a minor slip-up; it’s straight-up careless. If this is the new standard, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Quality like this is unacceptable.
