We like this place since they were Oishii in Santee. My favorite sushi roll is Thai Dai, and I could eat three rolls of it. The sashimi bowl is great too. Mike is the pro at making sushi, but this time I found out he was in Thailand, so Donna was in charge. I think she did an excellent job, as did the gentleman who was working with her. I appreciate the service and how nice they are. We will miss Mike as we are moving out of State to Florida In a couple of days. We will miss a good sushi. Thank you Mike and family for having us in your restaurant and making the best sushi in San Diego.

Oishii is such a hidden gem! Very clean, and the insanely friendly and attentive staff make you feel right at home. The highlight for me was the pork noodle soup—seriously, it’s the closest thing I’ve found to authentic street noodle soup from Thailand. Such a rare find! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. I’m already planning my next visit. Highly recommend!

I had visited the previous restaurant at this location and didn’t enjoy it much, so I came to Thai Thae with an open mind—and I’m glad I did!
I ordered the pork stir-fried with garlic and my go-to at any Thai restaurant: chicken Pad Thai. The flavors were authentic, well-balanced, and satisfying—especially the Pad Thai, which hit all the right notes. I’d give the food a solid 4.5/5.
The ambience is a huge improvement from the old place. The space feels cleaner, brighter, and much more inviting, which makes dining here a pleasant experience. Definitely 5/5 for ambience.
The only downside was the slow service, which brought my overall experience down a bit. Hopefully, it’s just a one-off and things will improve with time. For now, I’d give service 3.5/5, but I’m looking forward to coming back and updating this review!

We live a couple blocks from this place. We are amazed by the deliciousness and presentation of the dishes. Everything is so good! We ordered the jack sushi roll, the pork belly, the small wonton soup and the fried rice (my husband eat it before I could take a picture). The service was really good, it was fast and people are kind. We are coming back! New favorite spot in the area!

Four of us went to dinner here last night. Everyone loved what they got. Extensive menu, good service, cozy atmosphere, large portions. I got the mixed vegetables and am eating the left overs for dinner – they taste even better tonight! We made a 5:30 reservation, but not necessary-although the place filled up while we were dining.

Very disappointed with this experience. We ordered sushi for pickup and received our emailed receipt as usual. The next morning, I received a separate email from Beyond Menu showing an additional $4.31 charge that we did not authorize.
When I called Beyond Menu, they told me the restaurant added the charge for sauces on the side. No one informed us there would be an extra fee, and nothing was mentioned when my husband picked up the order. If there is a charge for sauces, that needs to be clearly disclosed before payment, not added afterward without consent.
The sushi was fine, but adding surprise charges after the fact is unacceptable. Transparency matters. I will not be returning.

I was born in Thailand and came to the US a few years ago and I can honestly say this place has the most authentic food around. The seafood fried rice and grilled pork reminded me of Thailand. And they have sushi!! So yummy. Wonderful combination of flavors. This is my new go to spot for Thai food. Bravo!!!!
