Really nice food truck with a bar and outside seating. Has a few kids options and the burger I got was really good. Very cool hiking/Appalachian Trail theme as well. They have live music in the evening often, but at lunch it was very quiet.

We were passing through the area when we stumbled upon Hiker’s Kitchen. It is a little food truck attached to Lazy Hiker Brewing Co. The food was great for a casual afternoon lunch. I really enjoyed the Bavarian pretzel with honey mustard and the curly fries. Everyone else also seemed pleased with their order. We ate inside which was cozy and definitely fit the hiker theme. Their outside seating area also looked nice, and they even had a fire pit. Hiker’s Kitchen/brewery is super dog friendly with dogs welcomed inside and outside as long as they’re leashed and well behaved. My dog Beans had a great time sitting with us while we ate, and everyone was so nice to him. I think Hiker’s Kitchen is a great place to stop for lunch, especially if you have a dog with you!

The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. If you come here during the car shows in Franklin there’s a good chance you’ll see some hot rods in the parking lot. You order your food and you get to go into the tap room and they will bring it to you. And don’t forget to look for daily specials. Sometimes they have their banana or chocolate Oreo puddings try them they are delicious.. However there are no beverages available here the word right next to the lazy hiker and there’s lots of goodies over there. Home to the best burgers in town. Oh I almost forgot their award-winning french fries, absolutely delicious. Keep an eye out for their house made puddings made by mom.

The workers were really sweet and patient with me when we were placing our big order. We ordered 3 hotdogs, 3 Philly cheese steaks, and three burgers with fries as sides for each. The atmosphere wasn’t the best. The seats where you are placed to eat is located by the brewery and there’s a lot of drunk people. It says kids friendly when you are looking up a place to eat… but I wouldn’t sit there again. The conversation my children heard were horrible and inappropriate for children even adults. My husband had to tell the adults to watch out how they are talking and to have respect for children. He told them that we had children here and that we don’t talk like that ever. It was pretty crazy.

Anyways now let’s talk about food. The hotdogs my children loved. I tried it because I couldn’t eat my food( keep reading) the hotdogs were perfect size. The burgers were delicious as well, a little under seasoned but added salt and was fine.

Now…..

The Philly cheese steaks on the other hand I was disappointed with. One was made how we ordered it so my husband enjoyed his, the second one my daughter asked for no mushrooms and it was full of mushrooms. She picked them out and ended up eating because she was super hungry….. Now my Philly cheese steaks, the guy brought me the sandwich and stated they messed up my order and if I wanted they would remake it. 1st off if you knew that’s not how it was ordered .. you automatically remake it and bring it out correctly….. but I was nice and I requested that the sandwich would be made with provolone cheese and not American which I don’t like.. he said sure, we will remake it. He took it back to remake or so I thought and I was wrong… So long story short….. They accidentally added American cheese on the first one they brought out when I wanted provolone cheese. So he pretended to take my sandwich back only to find out he added provolone cheese on top instead of remaking it. They mixed the American cheese in the meat thinking I wouldn’t notice… well I noticed and tasted it right away .. And on top of them faking to remake it … By doing that my steak got over cooked and burnt . And on top of that, my curly fries were not curly only small pieces hard to pick up. I was really disappointed in my meal. And might I add it was an expensive order.

I can’t say enough about how delicious the food is here. I had the hiker burger and world famous french fries. Joe the owner was as pleasant and friendly as they come. If your in the area stop by for a bite, you won’t regret it. The lazy hiker brewery is on site and Joe will hand deliver your food to your table.

We enjoyed the food very much. The food quality is way above what you would expect from a food truck and the (only person on) staff is courteous and doing his best to help everyone. Sure, with only one person working the food may take a moment, but you are going to be sitting in a pub, you aren’t in a fast food joint! The short wait did not bother us at all and the food came right to our table where we were enjoying our beers. For the time we staid in the brewery we saw the gentleman working at the food truck hustle back and forth continuously with a genuine smile on his face. We definitely recommend the hand cut curly fries and the burgers (made with local beef).

Very nice place to sit and enjoy company and atmosphere, kids can play with other kids at corn hole. The food took a while because it’s a small truck and can’t serve too many people at a time.
