Today decided to try the Skyline restaurant since my son and I are staying at the Skyline Hotel. The management at the hotel said the food was delicious. We had the Honey Orange Firecracker Shrimp as an appetizer. They were huge!! Battered up so well and the sauce was delicious!my son ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and I chose the Ribeye slider with fries. Both were perfectly made with so much flavor. Wish we would have eaten here last night. We will be back. Our server Jetta did a nice job serving us and keeping water on the table.

This was my first time here and apparently there is new management. I don’t know what it was like before, but the food was excellent. Our party had the ribeye and the salmon and both were excellent. Well above what we expected. Will be back!

The food was amazing. I had the salmon and the mushroom risotto. Both were cooked to perfection and flavorful. My friend had the house salad. It was lovely. Portions were generous. We both had a delightful craft cocktail.

My husband and I were glad we stopped in for dinner. Appears they may have new owners, new management or maybe both. First I want to start with saying the food was outstanding! My husband had the bison burger with mash potatoes. I had the ribeye and a side salad. Everything was delicious and the presentation was stellar. 10 stars there. Our waiter was great. We opted to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful evening before returning home to hot Arizona. The young waiter was prompt, attentive and very sweet. The only non five star experience we had was the hotel employees and their friends “dining” with us on the patio. I believe it was the hotel managers (husband and wife) and a few of their friends. It wouldn’t have bothered us had someone not been smoking cigarettes. They had a fire going in the fire ring, playing music and working on lighting. One guy came over and gave us a candle for our table. He placed a few candles around on other tables for a nice ambiance. However, as a restaurant owner myself, I would expect employees to act a bit more professional. All in all our dining experience was great and we would definitely return. Like I said, I think they’re in a transition period. I wish them nothing but success!
P.S. probably my favorite mash potatoes, ever!! 🙂

Kayla was the most attentive and best waitress we’ve ever had! My husband has The Outlaw Burger, and it was perfect! My Ribeye slider was so good I literally don’t have words! Fire Cracker shrimp, wine for me, and mixed drink for my husband all so great! Literally left The Chalet because the atmosphere was not good at all today. People arguing and screaming at kids while drunk and spilling drinks. The Skyline was the laid-back atmosphere we wanted and I can’t express enough, the food is so good! Thank you, Kayla and staff, for an amazing evening with a spectacular view! We’ve already planned our next visit!

This is the best food for counties wide, truly. Staff here are so friendly. Try their bang bang shrimp and burger cowboy style. Best burger I’ve ever had. I love you skyline!

Went to this restaurant twice in the last month . Once by happenstance and again for date night . First time had the ribeye sliders and sat at the bar . They were delicious. Hit the spot ! Great convo with the owner who is knowledgeable about the area . The next visit we had the salmon and firecracker shrimp . The mixed veggies were blanched like the French do it . Mushroom risotto was scrumptious too ! Best place to eat in the area

Wow! Who knew Spruce Pine NC had a diamond restaurant hidden in the golf course. Our dinners were very creatively made. Not simple food..really good food prepared to be enjoyed. The prices are so affordable too. Wait staff is bright, knowledgeable and they know their menu. Enjoy this delightful experience and the view!
