Have you ever wondered why the best dining spots in America often look like this? They are small businesses run by owners who thrive on their exceptional cooking skills and unique recipes. Chad’s Dad’s BarBQ is no exception.
When we entered this family-run establishment, we were greeted with warm hospitality and barbecue that was simply outstanding. After we placed our orders, Bob, the owner, took us on an extensive tour of the smoker. The aroma of cherry wood filled the air, showcasing his pride in what he does best. He even offered us a personal tasting of his homemade smoked barbecue sauces—yes, smoked sauces! The amazing flavors danced on our tongues. He has a white barbecue sauce that pairs perfectly with chicken wings.
Having tried barbecue in Virginia, North and South Carolina, Kansas City, and Texas, I can confidently say that this is at the top of my list. Make sure to stop by and grab some brisket, smoked greens or beans, and a sweet tea. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. Just come hungry and leave happy!

Stopped here for lunch after driving by and seeing it. Got bbq sandwich and potato salad. Smoked cherry sauce is one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. Also try the Hawaiian and bourbon sauces you won’t be disappointed. Very friendly and fast services.

Not only was the food amazing, but the service and atmosphere was incredible. It felt like a hug. The owner took a moment to show us and explain all of his sauces and its special to see that kind of passion for what you do. It’s the community feeling like that that makes it extra special. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is excellent. Ribs are fall off the bone perfect. The sides are very good. One drawback: due to Local laws, you have to eat outside. No inside seating.

I can give no less than perfect 5 stars across the board! The food is so delicious! I got the 3 meet sampler with pulled pork, pulled chicken, and the most delicious chicken salad I have ever tasted! Chad’s dad (Bob, I am figuring) and every staff member there was so absolutely welcoming. The smiles and friendliness was so welcoming. You could tell this is a family business and you can tell that they very much care about their customers. No matter where you come from. I will for sure be driving the 1.5 hrs to visit more!

The pulled pork sandwich was ok, the Mac and cheese was not good at all. Also the sweet tea was not good southern sweet
tea. I was disappointed and probably will not return. The service however was good.

Stopped in for breakfast biscuits and by far the best breakfast biscuit I have ever had. Friendly staff and prices are reasonable. Excited to try their meats soon.

Great little BBQ spot for that craving. It’s a cute little building where you order, but there is nowhere inside to sit and eat. There are a couple of benches out front, but it’s primarily set up as takeout only. The food was good. I wouldn’t say there was anything particularly memorable about the flavors. They seem to want to appease the masses I stead of making good BBQ. By example, they have about 10 sauces from all regions of the south.
