I do not normally write reviews but because I just spent $23 for breakfast I feel that it is necessary. The service was great…no issue there. I ordered an avocado toast which honestly was gross. I love avocado toast and make it often at home. I’ve also eaten this same dish at the downtown location and Autumn Dr and it was banging! Unfortunately this avocado toast was covered in a goat cheese which honestly does not even taste great with the other items on the toast. I also was not able to cut it. I recommend you contact the other two locations for advice.

Drift is one of my favorite spots to grab coffee, read, or knock out a project. The atmosphere is calm even when it’s busy, and the booths are perfect if you value a quiet space. They open at 7 AM, which is ideal for an early productivity boost.

The staff is always kind, and the cooks are consistent and food is delicious. The price and menu are on point. I love the breakfast burrito and passionfruit smoothie, and just tried their mocha for the first time—absolutely phenomenal.

Whether I’m there solo or meeting a friend, Drift stays in regular rotation for me. Quality food, great vibes, and a reliable place to land. Plus, they’re family friendly and have outdoor seating.

✅ Great early morning spot
✅ Quiet booths for working
✅ Delicious food & coffee
Favorites: mocha, burrito, passionfruit smoothie

“The first experience was very disappointing.”

This is my first time to the restaurant.

When I walked in, I didn’t see anyone coming to say hello or show me what to do. After a long time of waiting, I took the initiative to go to the counter to order.

After calling, I went to the table to sit and waited when another staff came and told me not to sit there, and told me to “if you want to eat, go to the front of the restaurant” – a sentence that made me feel like I was being chased.

While the food I had finished ordering and was on the table, she said that if I wanted to sit in this area, I had to contact first. But obviously from the beginning I was not instructed or reminded by anyone about that regulation. After that, she also called another woman to clean up all the glasses and eating utensils in front of me, making me feel seriously discriminated and disrespectful.

I am really disappointed with the service and behavior of the staff here. Hopefully, the restaurant manager will reconsider how to train staff as well as the process of welcoming guests – especially for first- time visitors, so that no one else has to go through the same experience as me.

Terrific breakfast spot. I’m sure the coffee is great, but we only tried the breakfast burritos, the potatoes and the mushrooms. All of which were fantastic. The potatoes came with a very tasty dip. Highly recommended for your breakfast and coffee in Wilmington!

As a man, this is probably the best brunch I’ve ever had. Wife loved the aesthetic of the spot. Said it was very “giving”. Amazing food and service. Incredible atmosphere with great music. Manager was out frequently to make sure our experience was excellent. Get the Bennies.

Staff was great, place is nice, food was ok but not great. I got the breakfast burrito and cup of regular coffee. Maybe just wasn’t my speed, they obviously put effort into it and didn’t do anything wrong, so try it for yourself and you might like it better.

the veggie breakfast burrito with the crispy potato’s is our go to every time we are here! but i’ve never been with anyone disappointed in their order, so i don’t think you can go wrong. the location has an airy atmosphere. i’m bummed to read some of the negative reviews—we’ve always had a wonderful experience, thankfully! currently, the pumpkin spice latte is the best i’ve ever had, so much spice! and their matcha lattes with honey and oat milk and lavendar are delicious.

My husband wanted a cup of coffee and we were in the area, so we tried this place out. I ordered the Granola and Yogurt: Greek yogurt, walnut granola, strawberries, blue berries, raspberries, and drizzled with honey. It was the perfect portion for a quick breakfast.

The interior is bright and welcoming; and the service friendly.

Edit: I posted this and turned to post a comment on their FB. Their website link goes to the location in OIB. They charge $5.30 for what I paid at the Hanover location: $9. Why the big price difference??

Coffee was decent if not a tad overpriced. Definitely more of a restaurant than cafe as it was way too loud inside to be able to read or do work
