Came here for my birthday! Pretty good choice! Food was good. The presentation perfect, flavor was just alright. The mixology drink menu was better. I enjoyed the atmosphere although the temperature indoors was a bit on the cooler side. There was an event happening in the loft area, so the waiters were a bit occupied, but they did end up making it over to our table, eventually. It seems like its an intimidating, fancy restaurant; they even request that you make reservations, but being that it was a Monday night, the place was very slow, we did not have a prior reservation and it was fine. The staff is dressed very nicely/professional, but the experience was a bit less than 5 star. Oh! and the bathrooms were very beautiful!! It was a nice enough experience for me to want go back again.

Food is mediocre, meat was hard and sushi rolls were not good at all. They got our order backwards (the well done meat arrived medium and the medium arrived well done) the taco was ordered with corn tortilla and arrived with flour tortilla. The place is nice but they need to work on the food quality, also they need to have their waiters write the order instead of trying to remember it on their head, that obviously didn’t work.

Beautiful place and food is adorned amazingly. However the food was not good at all for the price (Might had been a bad day for the chef???) Ordered some Picanha in Medium and i tell you, it took forever to be able to chew a piece! And the sushi’s rice was very rough and stale as if it had been sitting for a good while.

Service was good. I had the Barbacoa which was good, but there was only enough meat in there to make one single taco. The majority of it was just broth. I was still hungry when I went home. The taste was very good, just seems like the kitchen did not pay attention to put the actual barbacoa in the bowl, they were in a hurry maybe. There’s a strange odor downstairs, I think it’s coming from the sewer so they have that area closed and only upstairs was open. That’s not really anything that they can do to control that so I feel a little bad for them. My wife had the steak, the ribeye. She was kind enough to share a little bit with me. I thought the steak was decent. I would like to go back and try the barbacoa one more time …

Took 45 minutes to get my order, and another 45 to finally get it 20 minutes after my wife got her food, when I got my streak it was cold and they forgot my baked potatoe, steak went back to the kitchen to get heated, that created a 2nd problem they came back with a different steak medium rare and not rare as I order and tough needless to say I could only chew half of it, not sure where the tuetano sauce was. Music so loud I could not have a conversation for the 2 hours that I was there. Did not enjoy the experience. Price did not matched the service.

There on a busy Friday. Service was good considering how busy it was. Drink selection is good and the beer was cold. What makes La Capital stand out is its food. Tried to different salmon dishes and both were excellent. Great job. Don’t forget to try their queso fundido and chicharron de Ribeye.

The Manger (Marcos) recommended the Ribeye Añejo, it was1/2 fat, plus the baked potato cold and under cooked.
