Native Grill & Meats is a true hidden gem in Gallup! The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor is simple yet charming, which fits the vibe of the place perfectly. Plus, the location on South 2nd Street is very convenient with plenty of accessible parking.
I also have to highlight the service: the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and our food arrived promptly. The meats are absolutely phenomenal perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with that authentic grilled flavor. If you’re looking for a spot with honest, delicious food and a hospitable environment, this is a must-visit. It’s the perfect place to grab a hearty meal while passing through town!

MASSIVE portions. We enjoyed the fry bread taco to go. It came in a pizza box! Me and my husband should’ve split one because it’s enough to feed multiple people. When you order it to-go you assemble it. They give you a lot of onions too. Very good. Everything tastes homemade. Friendly staff. For $12 it’s a steal!!!

I would definitely recommend it if you want some delicious and authentic Indian fried bread! We’re passing through from coralado to Arizona, and if I wasn’t 4 hours away, we’d come every other weekend. Navajo taco is so authentic. Navajo burger was prefect if you want some beef with your meal.
The green hatch was freshly roasted and I’ll order a extra serving.

We are from Wisconsin and found this yummy place! If you want great service, friendly people and AMAZING food, stop here! The owner also told us some history about the place. It was interesting and informative. Would go back if we come to NM again!!

Disappointing. All 17 reviews were 5-star. Not sure how realistic that rating is. Portions were very large, but Indian taco was soggy and bland. We were actually sick for the rest of our road trip to Colorado that day.
Ice machine was broken.
Exterior is pretty grim. Interior just as grim. Bathroom doors, walls, light switch plates covered in grease and dirt. Not sure how they pass a city health inspection, unless they are not part of the city, i.e. maybe Indian reservation?
The employee, though, was very nice.
I really had high hopes from the reviews. I wanted to like it.

Loved every second that I was here. This place has a strong sense of community that isn’t really found elsewhere. The store owner was so friendly and welcoming; the food was incredibly yummy. Strongly recommend the Navajo Tacos!

Massive portions. The frybread are so huge! they’re basically the size of a medium pizza. Food is always cooked to perfection. The prices are good for the portion sizes.

Giant portions! A single taco is the size of a medium pizza, and the fry bread is super fluffy!
