I had a great time at Chapala Fiestas & Grill the bar and bartender really made the night. The drink selection is lively with a fun tequila-and-margarita focus, and the bartenders know how to mix refreshing cocktails (especially the margaritas). They were very attentive, friendly, and took time to make sure my drink was just how I like it, even suggesting flavor twists that turned out amazing. Service was fast and welcoming, and it felt like they helped keep the whole evening upbeat and enjoyable. Pairing a well-made drink with the festive vibe of the beer garden/patio makes this spot a great choice for laid-back drinks with friends in Bastrop. Rocio at Casa Chapala was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made the best drinks. Her positive energy really made our time at the bar so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back because of her!

I was very excited to try this place out but the food was not good at all. The servers were very nice and everything ordered came out quickly, however every food dish ordered was very salty. The location has a good vibe and offers great drinks but to eat Mexican food there’s other places in Bastrop that can deliver an authentic experience.

Rosie is amazing, she literally has the best service, very attentive. Every time we go there she asks how we are doing and makes the best drinks there! Would go every time to just see her, she makes the trip worth it! Food is good, drinks are great, love the salsa bar.

Whether you’re looking to celebrate a special moment or simply treat yourself to an exceptional dining experience, Chapala fiestas & grill is a must-visit. I’ll certainly be returning soon. We love this place! The place is perfect we love going for dinner and drinks, and it’s kid friendly which is a plus they have a beautiful outdoor area for the kids to have fun while we relax and have some drinks! And the staff is simply amazing specially Bertha she is so welcoming and kind we just met and already love her! Now, onto the food. Every dish we ordered was nothing short of exceptional. The drinks also deserve a special mention they have a variety of cocktails and they’re all so good. Can’t recommend this place enough! It’s definitely our favorite place to go when we need a good meal or to just unwind!

Stopped into Chapala for dinner on a weeknight and it absolutely delivered. The place has that warm, lively energy you want in a Mexican restaurant—busy but not chaotic, clean, and clearly run by people who care.
Service: Fast, friendly, and on top of everything. Our server checked in at the right times, refilled drinks without asking, and had solid recommendations.
What we ordered:
• Chips + salsa to start — chips were fresh and warm, salsa had real flavor (not watery).
• Carne asada plate — steak was tender, seasoned well, and the sides were legit.
• Chicken fajitas — sizzling hot, generous portions, and the tortillas were soft and fresh.
• Margarita on the rocks — balanced, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like a real margarita.
Everything tasted fresh, portions were more than fair, and the food came out hot and consistent. You can tell it’s a local favorite for a reason.

The salsa bar options were good. You’ll have to get up and get your own + chips. The red sauce on the enchiladas was like beans not sauce. It’s not authentic. If you ask for queso specify if you want meat otherwise they’ll just add it without asking for an up charge. The rest of my party wasn’t impressed with their food either, very “white washed” and dry or bland in flavor. Overpriced drinks, underwhelming food, but the service was great. I’ll come back if I have to like for an event, otherwise nope. They make you sign some weird membership contract before they serve you alcohol too. Bizarre practice. Surcharge for credit cards.
