Me and my boyfriend went this morning, my first time, I got a meat and cheese omelette w/grits and toast while my boyfriend got the triple burger w/fries . 20/10 Recommend!!! The prices on the menu aren’t accurate, but it’s just by a few cents. The owners are welcoming and helpful. We might be back in the morning.

This little gem of a restaurant was a welcome find. My party was kindly greeted by Ms. Mincey( see photos) and made to feel welcome. Ms.Victoria (Also pictured) was kind, attentive and professional as was the entire staff. Rarely do I give 5 stars, but this one was worth it! Be sure to stop by.

I wanted something hearty but not necessarily deep fried and their meatloaf special hit the spot. Portions were generous. Maybe they’re always that big, maybe they appreciate the carry out tips ♂️ either way, great meal. Much appreciated lunch! Thank you ladies!

Super nice staff and cozy place, but my food wasn’t great at all… especially for the price.
Came at lunch time and got the special, which was pot roast with potatoes, celery, carrots and rice. Sounded good. Came out with a little crescent roll and small cobb of corn. Overall, it was very homemade looking, which is great. The bad part is that it was pretty cold, and honestly tasted kind of like canned or prepackaged roast beef 🙁 the rice was the bulk of the dish sitting at the bottom (and tasted like minute rice)… and there truly was only one small bite of roast beef in the whole dish, along with. Small bite of fat. The rest was just rice and a few potato chunks. All for $13.
Truly not trying to be mean, but just giving my experience. Like I said, the staff was great and super friendly, and kept my drink full! Left a nice tip, but probably won’t be back.

Food is ok, service is so slow. They take priority to call in take out orders before people taking the time to dine in. 3 tables of people in the restaurant (including our table) and waited over an hour to get grits with eggs, and a kids burger with fries. When asking after 45 minutes what’s up, we were told like it was not a big deal that they had a huge call in order and had about 12 orders before ours because of call in. Makes it not worth the wait. Just to say this is not a one off situation. 4 visits, 3 of the 4 were about the same. One visit did go much smoother, however I don’t believe they had call in orders backed up that day. Priority should be those dining in, just tell the call ins a later pick up time.

Really enjoyed the food from here. Had the Friday night steak special $30. Good steak. Heat and friendly service.

Update: I recently discovered how good their breakfast is, too. The pancakes are so good and they’re as big as the plate! They always make my eggs just the way I like them and the bacon is evenly cooked. My wife gets the grits bowl with chopped bacon. Smoothest coffee in town.
The comfort food at Cafe 292 is delicious. Everything I’ve tried from the menu has become a favorite. The service is spectacular and timely. Even the presentation of the dishes they serve are beautiful. My wife and I meet there for lunch as often as possible.

Went and tried breakfast. It was very good and like someone on another review said the coffee was great. The only thing about the food asked for cheese in my grits and didn’t get them. The waitress was very friendly and never left me waiting on coffee. Looking forward to eating here again when I’m back in town.

Great food for cheap. I got a full meal for under $5. My only complaint is that the building doesn’t seem to be wheelchair accessible (unless there is a back entrance), so I couldn’t bring my mom back with me.
