Good Indian Food , if you are interested in Punjabi food then this is the good spot, they also have some fresh sweets . We tried their Chile Bharure and Goat Biryani , both were nice , good test and qty of food, we come there from San Antonio, and will not miss the chance to visit here if we are at Austin. The tables are little smalls and if 4 people seat on 1 table then it become little uncomfortable, the Booths are good for 4 people. Good clean restrooms. Nicky welcome and also suggested menu items, I like to see some paper Menus instead of using the online menu this will help non Indians to see the images on the paper menu.

The restaurant looks clean, modern, and inviting, and the overall presentation gives the impression of an authentic South Asian dining experience. Unfortunately, the food, especially the naan, did not live up to that expectation or the prices.

The naan was thin, flat, and rubbery, with a chewy texture that made it hard to digest. This usually happens when naan is not properly fermented, rolled too thin, or cooked on a low-heat surface instead of a traditional high-heat tandoor. Authentic naan should be soft, fluffy, slightly charred, and airy, with visible bubbles and a tender bite, none of which were present here.

Given the higher prices, serving naan that feels pre-made or pan-cooked is disappointing. Bread is a core part of the cuisine, and when it is done incorrectly, it impacts the entire meal.

While the restaurant itself looks great, the execution of basic items needs improvement. I would only consider returning if the naan quality and authenticity are addressed.

My family tried this place out for the first time and really enjoyed it. We got Chicken Pakoras, Butter Chicken, Balti Chicken and a Garlic Naan.

We both got medium spice levels and it was very flavorful! The portions were large as well. We’ll definitely be back again.

Had a wonderful lunch here with a friend and I can’t recommend Bayleaf enough! We started with the Hara Bhara Kabab — perfectly spiced and a great way to kick off the meal. For mains, we went with Paneer Peshwari and Malai Kofta, both absolutely delicious. The curries were rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Paired with their garlic naan (which lived up to every bit of the hype), it was a truly satisfying meal.

What made the experience even better was the staff — genuinely warm and attentive from the moment we walked in. You can tell they take pride in making guests feel welcome. Will definitely be back!

Husband had tried Bayleaf Indian Restaurant & Bar several years back and had been talking about how good the food was but more importantly the excellent service. We live over three hours away and came to Austin for a concert, so of course, I had to try it. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We felt like we were guest at their dinner table and not merely eating at a restaurant.

Hands down the BEST Indian food I have ever had. And I’ve tried Indian food in different states in the US. The chicken tikka masala was absolutely incredible, the chicken was tender and even tasted like it was cooked in the tandoor. I’ve never had that dish where the chicken was itself good.
The naan bread was fresh, crispy and so good.
The veggie samosas were so delicious and could’ve been a breakfast by itself.
The desserts were lightly sweet and so tasty.
The staff were very kind and the service was fantastic.
Honestly, I give them a 100/10.
Definitely go here.
