This place came highly recommended. A group of us from Church went on Sunday.
It was such a huge disappointment!
I am saddened by this review, but it must be done to warn others!

The selection was quite limited. What was shown in their advertisement wasn’t there.
The chicken was raw inside. The fried pork chops weren’t cooked enough either. They weren’t done.
The food from the “hot” bar was COLD.
We had to ask for different utensils, because what we were given was dirty! Even the knives in holders on the hot food bar for customers to use to cut their meat were all dirty!
The salt & pepper shakers were filthy!
There were unknown particles floating in the drinks!
Those working there were not at all friendly.
Needless to say, we won’t be back.
I strongly suggest avoiding this place. It was an awful experience.

I’m really dissatisfied with my experience, I’m afraid. I took my grandson, who is half black, to this place because he loves soul food. I thought this place would help him reconnect with some of the foods he ate when he was living with his deceased mother (who was black), but the look of disappointment on his face when he took a bite broke my heart. It made me feel like I couldn’t even go somewhere where I could even give him that simple joy. The buffet was pretty sparse, but I figured maybe what’s available is pretty good. Nothing I ate really impressed either me or my grandson, but the collard greens and beans he ate he said were awful. He said the beans were old and the collard greens had a sour tangy taste to them. I tried to ask for a manager, but the lady at the front was kinda dismissive. Not necessarily rude, but she didn’t seem interested in helping me, which honestly hurt my feelings. She said I would have to come in on another day and talk to someone named Lawrence. I didn’t bother asking when he’d be back because I think I’m gonna cut my losses and not return.

The service is somewhat good but the collard greens, pinto beans and green beans are not seasoned at all. It’s very bland and they could have more meat choices.

Looking this place has the absolute best fried pork chops, period. Southern fried pork chops. I drove from the most middle of Tennessee to get these pork chops. Sad to say, I arrived to country fried steaks or cubed steak and gravy fried Chicken and meat loaf to which was great too but, they were yesterday. This next part speaks to the staff off this place. When I entered it is as I have always noticed. I did bring my FIL with me. So it was as I told him the gentleman said as always “Come on in! I hope y’all are hungry!!”. But once I was finished I went to pay and told them how I’m saddened that I missed those pork chops. The host asked me if I wanted her to fry some….what!?. I at first told her no. I don’t want them to work just for my request but she insisted. 5 minutes later. She brought me some fried pork chops. The service was absolute awesome. The food, chef’s kiss. Go here please all will enjoy.
