Came in for the bakery and champorado, champorado was sweet and warm , all the bread types were fresh and yummy, may need a little bit of Spanish to interact but staff was understanding and helped me in my questions and purchase.

Update: do not buy their coffee here it’s extremely diluted with no body or flavor. I actually threw it away. Not even Chris’s sell coffee this bad. You are better of getting a coffee at McDonald’s across the street. Coffee is $3 for a small coffee that taste horrible. Champurrado was okay but it was also diluted so I can see they’re cutting corners by diluting their hot drinks. In my opinion the bread is better at Northgate or la flor de Michoacán.

Lady at the front was super nice and friendly. Nothing wrong with the staff

This place sells really good bread I’m not gonna deny that.

I went in there to get bread and each bread is like like a $1.20 which is kinda alot. Anyways I get about 12 pieces of bread and I asked the lady for a cake box instead of a brown bag. Lady says ima have to charge u for the box. I just said ok didn’t budge

It’s just weird they would charge for a box. Next time I will just go to the bakery on nelson instead

If you love Mexican sweet bread, this is the place to go! This place isn’t close to my house, but when I’m around the area I always make sure to make a pit stop. Wide variety selection and good tasting pan.

This place excellent bread, right on the corner of Amar and Ardilla, with a wide selection of all kinds of sweet bread, very fresh and delicious!!

I usually come here for the bollios they are good and mostly fresh . but the last 3 times I have gotten tamales and 2 times out of 1 , the tamales were old and dry. But that one time they were delicious so I know there is potential there. Also i asked if the pan dulce was freshly baked the the lady responded yes and it was dry and stale. My hopes in this review is that they’re more careful in their shelf life of the bread, cakes, and tamales if I come buy i expect something fresh not stale and dry.

Such a great selection and everything we had was delicious! The tres leches cake tasted like a Twinkie in the best possible way.

Great staff, Great bread. Make sure to have a concha or some of their puddings, won’t be disappointed. Location is great, parking not so. Still worthwhile to walk a bit from the rear-parking.
Make sure to call AND pick-up from this location and not get confused with their other location.

I’m not keen on sweet bread, but it was delightful. My only critique is that the filing isn’t enough for how thick the pastry is. Basically it has more bread that filling so it makes it a bit dry. But it is tasteful.

I bought two. 8” round cakes! Cheese cake & tres leches. Both overly sweet and tres leches bread tasted old and hard. Paid $31 ea. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The bread seemed pretty old and we paid a pretty penny for bread. Not worth it no wonder it was empty
