Ranked as one of the best restaurants in Marietta, Ohio, The Riverfront Bar & Grill is a favorite among locals and visitors. Located in the historic Lafayette Hotel, The Riverfront Bar & Grill offers beautiful views of the Ohio River and surrounding riverbanks, while you sit in comfortable Amish-made furniture and admire hand-plastered ceilings crafted by local artisans. Marietta’s first liquor license was granted to the Lafayette Hotel on January 19, 1934, marking a milestone in our quaint river town in southeastern Ohio. Since then, we have welcomed travelers to enjoy a delightful dining experience with classic American fare and unique creations inspired by the riverboat era. NOTE: Kitchen closes at 8pm (weekdays) and 9pm (Fri-Sat).

We were really happy with all of the food (and drink). Everything we had was really great. I was a bit worried when we got there…Mirande was both the bartender and the only server. I counted 27 heads in the place. We never waited though. She was great! The kitchen was quick and quality was top notch.

We were just going to have some cocktails but decided on dinner too because we saw some good looking food being served. We sat at the bar. The cocktails were delicious and the food was good too. I did wish that the Shrimp I had added to my salad would have been a little more flavorful but it was still a good salad. Our server was Amber and she was very attentive despite having a fair amount of customers at one time. We plan on returning to try more food and cocktails.

The service was great , the building was fantastic . How ever the food was not quality like the service . For the cost of each dinner especially the steak dinner very disappointing . My steak was very thin and suppose to have been medium rare and came out almost well done . The chicken dinner very dry , the crab cakes just okay . For $105.00 for three dinners very disappointed with the food.

The food was simple and tasty. If you’re a history buff, you’ll absolutely love this place. It’s part of a Historic hotel. I was afforded some time prior to entering the restaurant, so I took the opportunity to meander the public areas and engage the revealed history of this establishment. It proved well worth it! The architecture inside is simply SUPERB ❗A true blast from the PAST!

Me and my husband went here for our wedding anniversary. Horrible experience and server was not attentive whatsoever. He had the crabcakes which tasted off and I had the chicken. Mine was ok but his meal was ruined and sat with empty drinks. Only 1 server and table by us was complaining as well. Also had cold air from the vent blowing right at us the whole time. Great view but not a great restaurant. Will not go back again.

The service was great. It was only eclipsed by the quality of food. We did s ghost and history tour at a local venue. The Riverfront Bar & Grill was the perfect cap for one of the best days! If you are in Mariette Ohio, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you do not give it a try!

1 waitress, 1 bus/server fellow, packed house…….absolutely the most pleasant waitress, she was pulled in every direction and still managed to serve with a smile…same with the bus/server fellow…. ..to the cook/s in the back..delicious and everything was served hot….and this was a Thursday around 5:30 pm. We had the Salmon & Fish & Chips….delicious..we will definitely be back . Loved the view of the river from our table, plus the hotel is gorgeous.

What a great find! In town for a sporting event and ate here. Food was great! I had salmon, roasted red potatoes, and asparagus. My husband had the Lafayette salad and then the fish and chips. Our server, Julie was a ROCK STAR. Beautiful setting on the river!
