A Clean Cut, Not a Knockout
Poke Ice sits quietly in a strip mall, signaling exactly what it offers: an unfussy, efficient stop for a clean and affordable meal. The space is spotless, the service is genuinely kind, and the operation moves with reassuring ease. The menu leans into build-your-own poke bowls, framed as a quick, health-conscious option.
I ordered the large salmon poke bowl, which comes with a choice of a side or a drink—mine included miso soup. The bowl arrived promptly and was perfectly acceptable, but no more than that. The salmon, serviceable in quality, was buried beneath an excess of secondary toppings that diluted its presence. Sauces were applied with a heavy hand, doing more to mask than elevate the fish. For a dish defined by freshness and restraint, the result felt overengineered and less wholesome than it should.
There are also small value signals that add up. Offering either a side or a drink—but not both—feels unnecessarily stingy in a category built on casual generosity. Including both would materially improve the experience.
I’d return for something quick, clean, and inexpensive. But it’s not a place that lingers in the mind—or demands a detour.

Best poke bowl in the area! Delicious, tasty, fresh, and good portion size. Clean ambient and great attentive service. Ordered large poke bowl and added few extra charged items (avocado, masago and cream cheese). Happy to support a local family owned business. Recommended and will come back again for sure.

I’ve ordered this in the past – about a year ago and I was surprised how much fish they gave you – as well as the quality. It was a really good amount but lately it’s been way less than they used to. I’m not sure what caused the change but it’s a significant difference. As well, the quality of the fish seems to have changed as well- it’s not really melt in your mouth it’s more so soft but chewy. Really disappointing because I really liked them before. Recently we ordered a poke bowl with spicy tuna and it came looking like a long string of uncut fish (as you can see hanging in the photo). It really grossed us out, it looks like it might be a scrap piece that might’ve gotten mixed in or something? I also ordered unagi- only like 4 pieces in there, salmon- only around 8 small cubes came. I gave it a few chances after noticing the change thinking maybe it was just the one time it would come with such little amount of fish but after getting this in my bowl I won’t be ordering again.

Poke ice has quickly become a frequent visit for me. The sashimi quality is unusually high (on par with higher price sushi restaurants). The dining space is more casual, with food typically being served within 3-5 minutes of ordering, portion size and add-on options are amazing.

This place is an absolute treasure! Don’t let the simple vibe fool you—this is hands-down some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The chef, a master sushi man with over a decade of experience at a top New York restaurant, crafts every roll with precision and love. The poke is fresh and delicious, but the sushi steals the show. This is my go-to spot now, and I can’t recommend it enough!

I used to buy sushi here all the time and it was amazing up till yesterday. I ordered the same sushi and it was disgusting tuna It was very old and had this dark color and smelled weird..I will never go back there again at this point Publix sushi taste much better.
