I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially since it’s new to the area and has such a beautiful setup. The space is large, well decorated, very family-friendly, and includes a great kids’ area. There is plenty of parking, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. The staff was friendly and courteous from the hosts to the servers and the table-cleaning team.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, particularly for a breakfast/brunch restaurant.

We ordered chilaquiles, and they lacked flavor and seasoning. There was very little sauce and far too many chips. If you’re looking for flavorful chilaquiles, this would not be my recommendation. We also ordered eggs with cheese and an avocado toast. The avocado appeared slightly browned and mashed, rather than fresh and vibrant, and the overall flavor was quite bland.

One of the most important elements of a brunch experience is good coffee. Sadly, the coffee here was extremely weak and tasted watered down, which was a major disappointment.

As an additional note for those who are particular about beverages: the restaurant offers Pepsi products rather than Coca-Cola products. This may not matter to everyone, but for guests who specifically prefer Diet Coke, Coke Zero, or Coca-Cola, it’s something to be aware of.

We also tried the cheese curds, which were acceptable, though not especially memorable. Another dish included eggs with bacon and sausage, served with pancakes. The pancakes arrived cold and very firm. The warm maple syrup helped slightly, but the pancakes themselves did not seem freshly made.

Service was slow overall. I understand it was a busy Sunday and that the kitchen was running behind, but I observed several nearby tables experiencing long waits as well.

It’s truly unfortunate, because That’s My Jam has a lot of potential, a great location, a beautiful space, and friendly staff. At this time, however, the food quality does not match the setting.

I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars, primarily for the atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. I hope improvements are made in the kitchen, as this could become a strong neighborhood brunch spot.

First time here and I had the fried chicken Benedict. The chicken was crispy, juicy and tender with nice big fluffy biscuits. The hasbrowns were the shoestring type and were perfectly crisped. The atmosphere is a nice cozy breakfast nook with a lot of local music/country decorations. Great new spot!

Over an hour wait, then over an hour on the kitchen. Two hours later the omelette were not very palatable and the salsa on the side may have actually been marinara sauce (not kidding). The hash browns were raw in the center. Best breakfast if you have no taste buds 🙂

Great food and great service. We had sandwiches, I specifically had the Reuben which was great. Onion rings- check, sweet potato fries-check, fried okra- check, and cheese curds Nashville hot- check. The Nashville hot part could have been hotter, but it was tasty.

One of the better breakfast spots in the area. They were pretty busy the day I visited but they have full service at the bar and I’m quite comfortable sitting up at a counter to eat.

It’s in a big shopping area. There is parking but it can be a bit challenging. The interior is very appealing and not too loud. I was greeted right away and for my first visit, I opted to try the Southern Combo; eggs, biscuit and gravy, sausage, bacon and hash browns. I also ordered a side of sourdough toast.

I didn’t have to wait very long and they certainly get five stars for presentation. I ordered my eggs over easy and they certainly were, but a tad bit undercooked for my preference. The sausage came as patties and really tasted like something store bought. A bit dry and not much flavor to them. The bacon was absolutely delicious and the hashbrowns were good. They said the toast was sourdough, but it tastes just like white toast. It definitely is not sourdough, but it was good bread.

It was a good meal and everything tasted fresh and warm. I would like to come back and try some of their other dishes.

Our server was so welcoming. Food was great and top quality. I had the best cottage cheese in here and I asked what brand of cottage cheese they used and my server asked the kitchen and they were using whole food cottage cheese. Everything was great and I would definitely go back here!

We have been twice within a few days it is that good! The owner was so kind to our group and the service was fantastic. Everyone in our large group enjoyed our meals and the icing on the cake was we could let our kids play on the playscape while we enjoyed a mimosa! So happy to have a great brunch and lunch spot in the area that is also kid friendly. They did a beautiful job with the space.

As a local Austin Realtor who moved in the Bee Cave area and one who loves exploring and supporting small businesses around our community, I have to say , this place truly impressed us! It was our first time visiting for weekday brunch, and we absolutely loved it. No waiting to seat.

There used to be another restaurant here while back that closed down, but TMJ transformed the space beautifully , warm, modern, and full of charm. I had a matcha latte, and my husband ordered the omelet with avocado , both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The owner (the lovely wife) even stopped by our table to chat, and that personal touch made the experience even better. The hostess and servers were outstanding …friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.

We’re already planning to come back for weekend brunch with our kids and friends. If you’re looking for one of the best local brunch spots in Austin ; whether you’re a local or new to the area …this is a must-try

As a Realtor, I’m always excited to share great neighborhood finds like this with my community, clients and friends. Austin is full of gems, and this is definitely one to add to your list!

Food was okay but I would not recommend this place or return here.
