Such good tacos! I had chicken, steak and shredded pork and all were amazing. Best I’ve had so far in Charleston since moving here in July.

Best Mexican food in Mt Pleasant. Great tacos with varied choices of meat. Nice menu.
Quesadillas were excellent.
Service is friendly. It’s a food truck in a parking lot with about 10 tables and plenty of chairs.
Highly recommend it!!

The best real Mexican food in the Charleston area (that I’ve found). A food truck set in a retail parking lot under some shade trees and some rudimentary tables set up for eating there (vs take away). I go at least once a week for my taco and Jarrito fix.

This is a food truck that serves in a parking lot, but does have a few tables where you can sit. Overall, the food is really tasty and seems very authentic. Standouts were the carnitas and pastor tacos (absolutely delicious) and the chicken tamales (well-seasoned, enough filling). Tostaditas are tasty.
The carne asada taco was a bit dry and could have been more flavorful, but was ok. The chicken taco was the only one we would not reorder – dry meat and little flavor. Presentation of the tacos was impressive for a food truck. Accompanying sauces were really good. Service is a bit slow, but mostly because they have a lot of customers.
A nice side note – at this food truck there was a cross-section of people we have rarely seen together in Mt. Pleasant – young, middle-aged, older – several different cultures. It was nice to see this food bringing different people together to enjoy some real deal Mexican.
Update – Other really strong choices are the chorizo taco and the pork tlayuda. Both fantastic!
Update 2 – Shrimp tacos are good, but not great. However, the enmoladas (chicken enchiladas with mole) will knock your socks off! Fantastic!
Update 3 – The quesabirrias (birria tacos) may be the best tacos we have ever had.
We are addicted!

Authentic flavors! Clean, efficient, fair prices, & fun. What’s not to love. The tostaditas with finely shaved cabbage & black beans were a fresh crispy delight. The banana leaf chicken tamal was tropically intriguing. The chicken enmoladas were a sweet and spicy indulgence. Get the burrito if you must, or try a torta instead. It’s all good.

Lovely place to sit and relax. From the quesadilla I tried, I think the rest of the food is probably good too

As a large family, the truck in MP has been a weekly stop for my family for months now. The food has always been amazing, quick, and an easy stop on the way home. I’m hoping October 21, 2025, was a one-off but it will probably be our last. When I got home, I made a comment to my family that something seemed off, immediately followed by a response, “oh my god, what’s that smell?!” I was worried when the quesabirria consomé was almost clear, confirmed by a flavorless, beef broth experience. The mole dish was very good, but the tacos made me think something has definitely changed. The farty onion smell was POWERFUL throughout and overwhelmed any attempt at tasting anything other than that and the pound of cilantro thrown in the box. At 3am I had to get out of bed and take out the trash bc my AC was circulating that farty onion smell everywhere. Mine, and the kids guts were wrecked this morning. I loved this place and recommended to everyone who mentioned the word taco. Something is off. Something changed for the worse and it makes me sad.

I went here on a whim while visiting Charleston and it SLAPPED. The tacos were delicious and the ambience was great! I got shrimp tacos (delicious), quesabirria (also delicious), and a few other tacos which some were better than others. Definitely worth checking this place out!
