Haven’t been to Turtles in awhile, was so excited to finally make it back and get my “California Burrito”. I bite in to find dry, cold, unflavored cheap steak. This is not the turtles I remember:( I used to eat here religiously years ago. Turtles… what happened? New owner? New cook? I really would love an explanation. I know you’re better then this.. because I’ve had better from here. Please do something.

The food here is really great. Everything is made to order, very fresh and the portions are worth your money. I’ve been here a few times to try different dishes and nothing has disappointed me. My only complaint is during one visit, the wife/girlfriend and the daughter of the worker behind the counter came in. I’m not sure if he was the owner or just worked there. The place suddenly became busy and the woman got upset. She continued to express her anger for the customer’s in the restaurant while the little girl played. Eventually she told the little girl she couldn’t see her father that night because there were too many people there and the little girl starting crying and the gentleman had to stop for a minute to say goodbye to his upset child because simply because restaurant was busy. A tad unprofessional in my opinion. If not for that incident, I would have given them five stars.

Food is good, nice variety. However, don’t believe the hours. Open until 9:00?? Called on a Saturday night at 7:45 for takeout. After a couple of calls and no answer we thought maybe a problem with their phone. Drove there to order takeout. Sign on the door said closing at 9:00pm. Went in to order and was told they close at 8:00 in the winter. Might have been nice to have that on your website or a sign on the door, or maybe pick up the phone at 7:45 to say you’re closing early. Not very good in the customer service area!

Their hot sauce is delicious. The chips and quesadilla were awesome and got an A+ from my 2 year old. My husband loved the steak fajita burrito. And I thought the carne asada tacos were pretty good for New England. 😉

As a Texan I quit having ANY expectations when eating Mexican food more than a couple hundred miles from the border. Turtles doesn’t pretend to be authentic, and its not. But they serve pretty damn good comfort food wrapped in a tortilla!

Used to be the absolute best around takeout place. We would go every couple weeks.
Now – smaller portions, limp vegetables, brown guacamole, and a dirty dining room. Last I heard they were temporarily closing to renovate and reorganize, I hope they can reclaim the past quality.

Tasty and quick! We are in on a Sunday night and got 3 tacos and a burrito, along with guacamole and chips. Portions are “normal” sized and flavor was excellent. Service was prompt, warm and thorough.

I’ve been going there since they opened for the California burrito because its the only burrito I like. Today I had the worst version of it. Steak is so chewy and unflavored, I’m assuming they switched owner ship again and I’m so upset about it. No more reason to go out here just for that anymore, rip turtles
